We played two records each all night, Andrew first then me, until the last half an hour of part two where it's one each. I travelled by train with a kidney infection and without a passport for 13 hours each-way to make this one and I'm glad I did. It was a fantastic night, so thanks to Andrew, Diego, Lele and everyone who was there dancing like a mad thing.

blissed out (deep house and balearic chill out dj mix)

Echoflex is a new studio and DJ collaboration between Al MacKenzie (Field of Dreams / D:Ream / Retroforward) and Duncan Gray (tici taci / Sons of Slough).

Having remixed each other over the last few years, they finally had the chance to play B2B as a warm up for ALFOS in Birmingham last year - and enjoyed it so much they decided it might be fun to do something on a regular basis.

They will be starting a regular slot at The Brunswick Cellars in Glasgow on Friday March 29th with a 3 deck back to back mix - playing deep house and pitched down techno soaked in glorious FX.

To celebrate this event Echoflex anybody attending the night will be given a free download code for the first Echoflex EP, ahead of its release in April 2024.

Al and Dunc have done a 2 hour mix together to give you an idea of what you might expect - expect the unexpected.

Even though esteemed norwegian DJ Ole Martin Vilberg aka Omar V and Robin Craaford, one half of Dance Disorder with Baby G ( Bpitch, Eskimo ) are hardly young guns, they gang up together for the first time on "complete": a blinding cut that harks back to the time with good ol Jack was still the young buck and closely associated with uncle Electro Funk: tough beats, hyperactive claps, a jittering bass and a catchy, squeaking melody are still rattling bones if masterfully pieced together as it is done here. Oslo born Ole Martin Smuk-Vilberg has been Djing since the early 90's. In addition many know him as the record pusher behind the counter in legendary Norwegian record store HS Records.

With his distinctive good mixing skills and a sharpened ear for what works on the dance floor, it will be difficult to stand still when this man takes control.

When Omar plays smaller clubs, his style automatically becomes more eclectic, and the music he serves up in larger venues can be described as a good blend of House, Techno, Electro, Italo/Italoish and Acid. His style is known to be very versatile and he more or less always mix up the the past with the future.

Omar has been producing and releasing records since 2010 and forward. His collaboration work and rmx stuff can be found on Full Pupp and various labels.

 Bio part two: Omar V (Ole Martin Smuk-Vilberg) is a DJ and producer from Oslo, Norway. His musical journey started in the late 70s when he fell in love with his dad's record collection. It was the sound of synthesizers that made the biggest impression.
At ten years old, he was making mixtapes at the local leisure club and all genres the 80s had to offer were included. At the age Of 16, his knowledge of music led to him landing his first job in one of Oslo's most important record stores at the time, working as head of dance music import.
The 90s were underway and so was his DJ career. With gigs around the world, releases on recognized labels and still a burning interest in making mixtapes, his musical range has only grown and the same can be said of his record collection.
