The Death of Space, and Time
And so, rich frames straddled wonder there, upon a Northern Wasted Star.
They claimed to fall under time abundant, and cradled life like pale abandon.
So here, and hear the echoes trill, like birds to die do never seek a bough of freedom ever more.
Where member contains and constricts the mind, where thoughts abound in finite worlds.
Hail me to thy death upon the silent sea; its comforting, chastising voice, beckoned me once there.
Space is variable, mutant, gassy, and glows.
Like a Wendy House and a badger’s set, behind the woods, out of sight. 

The observable, unobserved.
He showed me a pink, erect, stagnant, void of space, when I was seven, on the day that Elvis died, and the swallows went back home.
When my mother left her mind, and disappeared down the rabbit hole.
Never to be seen again.
The space was inhabited yet not habitable.
With dirty windows and a broken white door.
With a minute mottled, wooden dresser, and fairy like cups, I drank from their mouths of babes. I choked, and gagged, and spewed, and went hungry.
Thunders raged on, like Lear on the heath, ‘Blow winds and crack your cheeks!’
Do we still reside in the Gothic North?

Of nature’s domains, and restrictive holds.
Magic, shadows, auras of light.
Sub-conscious streams upon a conscious, silvered stream.
Time just stopped.
Space inverted.
Stars exploded.
Worlds collided.
Brains melted.
Yet we awoke.
You can wake up, now - 
You can kill social media and your Artificial Intelligence.


You don’t have to live in that world – but you can, if you really have to.
You can sleep with a blue light filter, can you?
Do you really have to get up and go to the gym?
Or would you rather dig a veg plot, and keep chickens until the end of days.
Then you can climb the ladder.
You climb and climb until the ladder is no more, and you are suspended in space and time. 
You witness death and decay below you, and the decaying dream above you.
But it’s all just space and time.
It is all just an illusory space of time.
You are space and time.
You are enough as you are. Just be.

Nix Moretta is a poet whom has just completed an MA in Creative Writing with Teesside University, England, UK.

Nix has been writing since childhood, and now, nearing 50, is a self confessed romantic with an esoteric, cosmic leaning!

Nix is an English lecturer, and lives a rather hermit's existence with two ageing ponies called Fez and Fudge, on a small farm in deepest, darkest Peru. No marmalade sandwiches required.

This is a new poem to be included in published texts later for 2020, early 2021, she would love to hear your thoughts.

Love Has Been Murdered

The Night Carnival and the Blue Wolf

Wood pillars of oaken dream like tastes clothed all in ceramic red shawls painted the fat olive-pitted moon that throned drunken stars

Cosmic shadows whispered poetic hymns on cirrus clouds of ash

Lost and found bags of love left by a dying wound with no scar under pallid pyres

Carried on nomadic backs through deserts of dead clocks and skies that bled their pain

Darkness rained in the lightest of caves spewed cold lava to mouths of embryonic spaceless vacuums 

Harlequined jesters ran rampant like boxing hares in burnt fields of corn

And the palmist sang odes to the living behind bloodied bed sheets with cleaved ghosts dressed all in stones

The carnival rang out in your cocked ears, pistol whipped and silent like mother’s ruin in the bottom of a cracked wedding glass

And the blue wolf in your mind ran to the edge of your life

Started a search to no avail
A light that shines behind the veil trying to find it
And all around us everywhere
Is all that we could ever share if only we could see it
Believe there's true thoughts beyond me
Life ever changing weaving destiny

And it feels like I'm flying above you
Dream that I'm dying to find the truth
Seems like you're trying to bring me down
Back down to earth back down to earth

Layers of dust and yesterdays
Shadows fading in the haze of what I couldn't say
And though I said my hands were tied
Times have changed and now I find I'm free for the first time
Feel so close to everything now
Strange how life makes sense in time now

And now I'm flying above you
Dream that I'm dying to find the truth
Seems like your trying to bring me down

Nix Moretta is an English Lecturer and poet from the UK. Nix has two new books of poetry out late 2020, early 2021, called Book 1, 'Anthems,' which contains much of Nix's earlier work, spanning a period of over 20 years, and Book 2, 'Noachis Terra: Poems from Planet Mars,' which is much more contemporaneously written.
