Ok, here's the full story behind this weirdo of a song: After releasing a few digital singles with Leaderboard, me and Thomas wanted to put out a full album, but instead of just doing a few more songs and putting them together we had this idea of an album theme or something. The idea was really vague and weak and I don't remember it exactly, but we wanted the album to start with a morning run.
I think we thought too much about the concept when we wrote the song, because it's intentionally weird and tricky, with ups and downs just like "the run". We probably thought it was genius, but listening to the song day after makes no sense at all. We laughed a bit about it and dropped the concept thing and recorded an album full of pop songs instead.
I recently rediscovered this on my harddrive, and think the world is ready for it now.
