What an impeccable night.  Bigup up the Shy FX for his contributions to this music and Destiny Events for organizing such an impeccable event. The vibes were priceless!

Opening up for Shy FX was an incredible honor. I spent weeks strategizing my set, knowing a lot of old-school ravers would be there. I wanted to do something special, bringing everyone back in time with a touch of nostalgia. I hope it worked out and that you all enjoyed the journey as much as I did.  This weekend reminded me of my true purpose and why I'm more committed than ever. I've reflected on balancing my passion with personal goals, realizing the sacrifices I've made are worth it. Creating music brings me immense joy and fulfillment, especially when I see your reactions. Thank you for being part of this incredible journey.

STRANJAH Live at Shy FX June 16, 2024

Vio.let has got everybody on strings. Literally.  Fusing classical violin with drum & bass, she’s already got a reputation for pushing boundaries.  On stages, she's wowed crowds across the UK and Europe from Hospitality shows to major festival sets. Her classically trained sense of drama and suspense can also be felt on many productions thanks to collaborations with the likes of Fred V, Cliques, pyxis and many others. Now she's started her own line of releases with Worlds Apart; her debut release on Keeno Music.

Written with vocalist Lauren Paige , this track dives into grief, loss, and perseverance, wrapped up in beautiful string arrangements, heartfelt vocals, and Keeno’s production magic. It’s a track that feels like a journey—and you’ll want to come along for the ride. We caught up with Vio.let to chat about her path from classical stages to the dancefloor, how she blends live violin with D&B, and what’s next now that 2025’s shaping up to be a big one for her.

NJam, the DJ alias of Ben Shorter, is a massive Drum & Bass and Jungle fanboy who utilises decks and social media to share music he loves.

His mixes encompass a range of 175BPM music drawn from of all spectrums; Rollers to Liquid, Jungle to Jump Up, from any time period over the last 25 years.

Like most people, Ben used music as a way of dealing with life, and always enjoyed exploring different types and sharing his findings.

While he started playing around on Argos bought, belt driven turntables at 14, it wasn’t until 2012 when he bought a traktor controller that Ben gained a ‘play everyday’ love for DJ’ing.

In 2015 he co-founded the Drum & Bass event brand True Romance and started to play out at events around London. This led him to meeting Jungle legend and former Radio 1 DJ, LDouble, and becoming a resident DJ for Flex Industries.

NJam has been lucky to play on line ups with certified legends such as Randall, Digital and Jumping Jack Frost, as well as opening and closing sets for Flex’s LDouble and DJ Sappo.

After a short hiatus, he returned in 2019, playing at London super club the Steelyard, and started managing the iconic label, CIA Records, on behalf of Total Science.

Currently he is back in the studio and playing out, representing all the brands above, True Romance, Flex and CIA, as well as appearing on LifeFM and The Epidemik Show, with a music library that contains both real dancefloor weaponary and beauty across the full scope of Drum & Bass and Jungle.
