Estilo String Quartet is based in London and is one of the most celebrated groups performing commercially for weddings and events and concerts around the UK and abroad.  Our debut album Marriage in an Orange Grove was released on iTunes and through our shop in 2014.  We released four singles in 2015/2016 and all graced the iTunes Classical Chart Top 10.  We pride ourselves on our eclectic repertoire, energetic engaging performances and play in the best venues in London and the South.  We are Theo Paphitis' Small Business Sunday (#SBS) winners, Jacqueline Gold #MOM winners and often nominated in the Perfect Wedding Awards (Best Entertainment Category).

The New Album 'Birds That Flew and Ships That Sailed' - Out Now

Five years ago, Alex Gibson embarked on a musical journey from Sydney to London – the iconic home to many of his musical influences. Having released his debut album ‘This Is Life’ in 2012, he embraced the next step of his career and quickly earned a reputation as one of London’s hardest working and most exciting musical acts. 

Alex has performed at various London venues, including The 100 Club and OMEARA. He was also featured as one of Time Out London’s rising star acts in 2016 and was runner up in the ‘Songs of War’ competition in 2018 which was judged by the likes of Joss Stone, Dave Stewart, and Mike Rutherford.

From busking on Portobello Road, to performing at Sofar Sounds, Alex’s style is adaptable, soothing and raw, with appeal across various generations and stages. 

Inspired by both classic and modern genres, the new record is a culmination of Alex’s own timeless sound and his immense passion, skill, and determination.

2020 will mark the release of Alex’s sophomore album - a body of work, yet to be revealed, exploring new topics with crude honesty and fierce energy. After five years in the making, this album will take you on a journey of real emotions with beautiful and varied delivery, reflecting everything that defines Alex Gibson.

Currently, Alex is focusing on releasing singles ahead of the album launch, with ‘Heartbeats’ and ‘Spirit Girl’ released in late 2019, and ‘Animal’, 'Searching', 'Feel Something' and 'Dancing with the Devil' released in early 2020. 

It is set to be an exciting 12 months ahead for this emerging talent.

The Strypes are 4-piece rhythm and blues band hailing from Cavan, Ireland, formed in 2011 by Ross Farrelly (lead vocals/harmonica), Josh McClorey (lead guitar/vocals), Pete O'Hanlon (bass guitar/harmonica) and Evan Walsh (drums).

The group has spent the past 18 months launching their explosive R&B assault on the clubs and festivals of Ireland, the UK and Europe, viciously hammering out a no-nonsense blues repertoire drawing from the songbooks of Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Howlin' Wolf, Little Walter, Slim Harpo and more with the passion and venom of British blues groups such as Dr. Feelgood, The Yardbirds, The Rolling Stones and The Animals. 

Having already been met with critical acclaim from greats such as Jeff Beck and Paul Weller and been tipped by NME as the No. 1 new band to watch, it seems things can only get better for The Strypes.
