Started off with the same melody 03 that parallaxed used and wanted to make something of a "warm embrace" so started with an accompenment for the meldoy which is the piano you hear throughout +another layer to accompanyment of that - nothing special but used spitfire audio (Labs) for the piano and some simple valhalla to give it that "Memory feel". This then had a very simple beat put underneath which some chopping and slicing to just change it up a wee bit and a small amout of percussive background noise with it to help. From there I just wanted a roaring bass that felt confident but subtle and something that encompassed you fully. So then spent about 5 hours finding the correct wavelength to then go through way too much modification, however, rangled it finally to create something that feels along those lines? But couldn't figure out how to make it any better personally but my sub tone progression is going quite nicely - and all of this had personal Eqing and only a few vst's in total with the bass having most of it- however If not it's just a juicy bass that I somehow turned into a guitar at one point haha - but yeh enjoy!

So I started out by chopping up the sample into bpm segments so I had stuff to play with and get a feel of how to expand this - so believe it or not, this song is roughly 90% made from the original sample. However as I was going through it became apparent i was just making random noises which then had to be pieced together so maybe not what was expected but something you might like. once the samples were chopped and sampled, some where then put into midi to then be played (maybe with more than I like to admit effects wise  ).

However made something from it whilst trying to bring forward what the sample gave where I could it different ways which lead to a simple beat with some weird effects and switch ups. In the end the dissonance effectively made me feel like I was giving in to what I wanted to do with it hence the name "lift off to depravity" haha. Might be changed to indulgence whilst I think about it. However! Enjoy, I hope it becomes something and cheers again for the sample @hughdemAKAh-weezy ! Really enjoyed going back to where I started and splicing samples to create something weirdly unique haha

So not gonna liie, went a bit ham with this but kinda felt like I had to :LULW: . Effectively I started with the sampled beats and hats to then to have as a backline and knew it just needed a guitar so added a few in with valhalla and some vox and such to create that weird effect. However the main effect of this production was width, I've realised not only ladies can enjoy it! Not only by managing width of individual channels (really silly thing not to think about) I've halfed my mastered audio output originally which means I can now effectively spec to any audio level with adjustments and monitoring whilst being able to dive into the sound more and therfor tune it more. Music go loud & good basically :shrubspog2: 

Either way that played a huge role in audio design that I hadn't had before to then space everything out properly and mess with the bass ripple and other sounds as well. This all involved a lot of pitching, and the messing about with various audio effects for background shenanigans. But tempted to do another as this could be a bit much I feel, but will leave it up to you guys ^^.

Delightfully simple beat, eroded kalimbas, nicely toned guitar from Kontakt, gospel+choir courtesy of the workhorse Omnispehere, hours spent whittling out lush pads in u-he Hive

Used the vocal and synth sample from the pack, the synth is heavily disguised as subtle ambience, but I promise you it's there propping everything up nice, yeah? 😉

Would be very happy for anyone to pipe out some bars over this - I can be very flexible on the structure and mix to accomodate the writing. DM me and lets collab!

The scratching sounds and vocal chops are not frozen, so this mixdown is dynamic and will scratch/chop differently every time... I'm happy to resample these for consistency but at the moment I love that it's kicking out a unique mix (fabfilter Timeless 3 and beat repeat magic...)

FabFilter Saturn 2 for character, sweet ducking with Pro-G.
Cableguys Kickstart because sidechaining doesn't need to be hard.
Pro MB + Pro L-2 to tame the mix.

So this turned out to be an oddity, but after it began tumbling in some direction I did best I could to carve out a melodic journey that unsettles the yuletide spirit at first, then resolves into those familiar festive vibes...

As the beat develops, one of the 15 bar melodies is used wholesale and chopped up to introduce some new melodic context... then we slap you with some familiar festive hooks blending in to transform the flow.

Sleigh bells samples used, obviously. Bass drum also. Trumpets from Hark the Herald angels as provided in the pack. Fudged the tubular bells in ableton sampler for the intro lead line. 

Used tubular bells from the ableton stock for the switch up melody... woodwinds also in there. Followed top tips from Mr. Bill to optimize the sub, shout out to Slynk also for his handy HaaS width tool, imo it gives presence and character to mid sub harmonics...
