An indisputable talent, CRi made his label debut last year on ‘Explorations 07’ with ‘Remember You’. This was quickly followed by his track ‘Initial’ being featured on the Anjunadeep’s flagship compilation, ‘Anjunadeep 10’. The ‘Initial’ EP represents another commanding statement from the French-Canadian producer as he showcases his prodigious skill in the studio. First heard on ‘Anjunadeep 10’, opening title track ‘Initial’ threads distorted vocal samples through an array of cascading arps and warm piano-led progressions. ‘When I Saw You’ takes it deeper, bouncing filtered percussion and detuned vocals off a full sub bass, whilst closing track ‘Hidden Places’ staggers phased synthlines on a backdrop of moody breakbeats.
