The Joker

Right now, vague anxieties in the world strike us like noise.
What is its root cause? Sadness? Anger? Or fear? No, that's not it.
Its true nature is the fear called "loneliness" that suddenly comes to anyone.
Even if filled with love, friendship, or family, loneliness somehow crosses the mind.
In this world, I am the only one. The only one who knows me is myself. The feeling of loneliness is very painful.
However, we face that loneliness sincerely.
That is precisely what allows us to truly notice others' loneliness, empathize with others' sadness, and become advocates who grasp others' feelings.
When we feel loneliness and based on that are able to erase the world's noise, we perceive everything as conscious.
But the world is so impermanent, and someday the end of life will come to you and me too.
What we leave behind then is not a big deal.
What exists there is a world of "nothingness." Yes, everything returns to nothing. The world and we all return to nothing. But the "nothingness" embraces the world—gently, strongly, bravely, and cheerfully, peacefully, and calmly..."

This song, in case you're not familiar, was written by Medeski, Martin, and Wood with guitarist John Scofield, and performed by them on an album eponymously named A Go Go. Josh has always been a huge fan of both MMW and J.S., and has always wanted to play more of their music, as he used to cover a couple of their songs in one of his main old bands. 
  Josh laid down the bass and after going back an forth a couple of times with Ken and his thrilling drums, they established the rhythm section. Soon after, Josh added his jazzy guitar, as well. We needed someone to play John Medeski's part, too, of course. So, we asked JJ if he'd do the honors, which he did in grand fashion. 
  Once it was all laid down, we needed a good mix, and no one is gooder than Stephen, so we asked him to mix it for us, which he did in his always pro manner. 
  This was a lot of fun to record, and we hope that comes through. This is a stripped down Eclectic Collective collab, where most of what we're all doing is improv. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed making it.

In 2018 i was part of a competition to remix broken orchestral instruments... needless to say i didnt win but it top fun.... More info below from the found sound nation website. Also i now have the library of all the samples if any one wants them let me know and I will send them - got everything from micro second one pitch solo instruments through to ensembles lasting for half a minute also ........

Found Sound Nation, in collaboration with Symphony for a Broken Orchestra, has meticulously recorded the sounds of over 800 of broken instruments in an effort to inspire the public to ‘adopt’ these instruments and raise funds to repair and return them to public schools throughout Philadelphia. For these recording sessions, we invited great musicians from around Philadelphia to improvise on damaged horns, flattened fiddles, splintered double bases, padless saxophones, leaky clarinets, and busted-up snares and created a sample library of hundreds of ‘wounded’ but magnificently unique instruments.
