Today we kick off our mixtape series with a vinyl selection from Wyndham @wyndhamelliot - eldest brother, co-founder and chief digger for our channel. The mix features many records from the late 90’s / early 00’s, which takes the listener on a ride through the past and into the future. 

We will be asking each of our artists for a short statement or quote that appears on the mixtape to give a feel for what to expect, or not as the case may be.

Hylke has been an active chain in Amsterdam’s underground music scene for the past years.
He's been developing his passion for curating music in multiple ways; from organizing events, setting up connections between (international) dj's, producers and labels, to collecting records devotedly.
Known as co-founder of label- and vinyl-distribution One Eye Witness, he's constantly exposed to fresh impulses of music. Taking all these experiences to the decks as a DJ, Hylke’s sound is forged from a fascination for eerie aesthetics, shaped to likewise sounds and
danceable club beats.

Rambal Cochet debuts on Alzaya with a Vinyl-Only EP. Celebrating the interconnected strands of head-tripping hypnotic sounds, new age electronica and early/late 90s progressive house/trance, Rambal Cochet arrives on this only vinyl EP, built to elevate the dance floors. 

Since emerging in the scene, Rambal Cochet has ably demonstrated his instinct for different approaches, whether exploring expansive sonic palettes or holding down stages where he has performed. This DJ, producer and versatile music curator, throughout his career, turned his capable hand into a truly immersive listening experience. 

Dolphin's Dance is an uplifting music journey with a flavour of the good old prog sound and a dreamy atmosphere. Volantis & Nicodemo elaborated on the title track stylishly and thoughtfully. The narrative flow in Twisted Reality and Virtual Nightmare uses contrasting ecosystems to glide through distinctive spaces, unfolding with darker vibes infused with style sounds, as in Yello's 90's album "Pocket Universe". The effect is sometimes nostalgic, calling to mind pulsating rhythms, bass lines, and hypnotic melodies. 

Rambal Cochet shows again an exceptional talent for producing high-level dance music. An exquisite 4 rhythmic and stimulating club jams to be savoured and absorbed in ALZ05.

ALZ05 Rambal Cochet - Dolphin's Dance (Incl. Volantis & Nicodemo Remix)

Spincycle records presents the first imprint on their label - a two track EP from Mieka Du Franx and Mark Ambrose on 180g heavyweight vinyl.

After meeting at a gig in LA, Mieka and Mark hit the studio together and recorded these tracks in 2016. The result - two club ready house tracks with deep, spun out vocal takes. Side A, Wake Me Up (Dreaming Dub) leads the way with floating pads, warm echoing vocals and a dubbed out, pulsating bassline. Big after hours tip if you’re feeling a little playful. Side B, Wake Me Up comes in heavy with wonky deep house chords and Mark's signature syncopation, a treat for the later hours. 

We are honoured to present these works between two veterans of the electronic music scene. This record embodies both of the artists unwavering passion for underground music and fuses both their unique sonic aesthetics.
