The Cheapskates were created by Devon Paine Hernandez & Pieter Robinson Leonard in 2016. The pair met in 2010 while attending Washington State University. Go Cougs!  Both Devon and Pieter grew up with musical backgrounds, playing instruments as members of their school bands as well as in their free time. Their love of music flourished by attending live performances of all genres starting in middle school. While earning his degree in Broadcast Production, Devon spent his free time learning the ins-and-outs of music production and music theory. Devon continues to excel refining his skills and sound using Ableton as his primary DAW. Pieter earned his degree in Public Relations. The first show Pieter attended was 12th Planet opening for Skrillex during his freshman year and that is all it took for him to catch the music bug.  Expect big tunes in the bass house, trap, and future pop/bass genres that attempt to blend organic and electronic sounds into one. The Cheapskates regularly play DJ sets in their hometown Seattle area but have their eyes set to make a dent on the national and international scene.
