Raised on the South Side of Chicago, Vic rose to public awareness as a member of the eclectic hip-hop band Kids These Days and founder of the Chicago collective SAVEMONEY alongside Chance The Rapper and other local upstarts Joey Purp and Peter CottonTale. His solo debut mixtape INNANETAPE dropped in 2013, igniting immediate accolades (including a spot on the XXL Freshman cover in 2014), and a fortuitous introduction to Jay Z that led to a record deal with Roc Nation. Mensa went on to help Kanye West pen his esoteric song “Wolves” from The Life of Pablo, drop three critically acclaimed EPs (2016’s There’s A Lot Going On, 2018’s Hooligans, and 2020’s V TAPE) and his debut full length The Autobiography (2017), as well as furthering social causes in his hometown through his nonprofit SAVEMONEYSAVELIFE. In both music and his social activism, Vic challenges the American system responsible for a history of overcriminalization, racial injustice, and issues that affect the lives of people in underserved communities, while showcasing profound levels of consciousness and self-reflection.

Detroit has long been a hub for electronic beat lovers and speaker freakers, but Golf Clap’s Hugh Cleal aims to lead a new generation. For nearly a decade, he’s hustled the project and its Country Club Disco label to the forefront of house music’s funkiest dimensions. The project (formerly a duo with Bryan Jones), works tirelessly to conjure a palpable energy, one fans can feel at every gig, be it a hot-and-heavy club set or an energetic takeover of a festival stage. Golf Clap feeds off the crowd, spinning the hottest songs of the moment while breaking new records - and this isn’t any press play, hands in the air fair. You're likely to hear a lot of cutting up between facefulls of funk and bass. 

Fueled by a relentless passion, when Cleal isn’t behind the decks, he’s likely pulling all-nighters in the studio. Bodies dancing in real-time is an addiction, but when it comes to original productions or high-profile remixes, Golf Clap wants to create something for every moment. Recent singles “Freak It Out” [Country Club Disco] “Mystery Scene” [mau5trap/Insomniac] and “Gravitate” [Toolroom] showcase their deft and dark grooves, while 2018 EPs  Vices  and  Machines  showcase club-ready attitudes. High-profile remixes for Zeds Dead and Illenium, Zhu and Tame Impala, Louis The Child, and Hotel Garuda give the music makers a chance to showcase stylistic variety. 

While 2020 has been a year of great change, Cleal has never stopped working. With loads of new tunes in the wings and a dedication to the Country Club community, Golf Clap is and always will be, in his own words, “about creating a community.”

Hailing from North London, Lily Mercer spends most of her time running Viper Magazine, which was born out of an ever present love of hip hop, a passion for words and a devotion to print publications. With no absorbing magazines left to buy Lily decided it was time to start her own and Viper was born. Now six issues deep, previous cover stars have included Darq E Freaker, Kali Uchis, Schoolboy Q, DeJ Loaf, Earl Sweatshirt, Vince Staples and most recently, Novelist.

London born Lily Mercer writes about rebels and revolutionaries from all walks of life. She has a weekly radio show, The Lily Mercer Show, on Rinse FM on Monday mornings from 1-3am [GMT] playing the best new, underground hip hop. She is also a regular voice on Beats1, Apple’s radio station, representing London. As a DJ, Lily has spun for brands including adidas, Mary Katrantzou and Baby-G, plus held down warm up sets for GoldLink, Dizzy Wright and Kojey Radical’s first ever headlining shows in the UK. For Kali Uchis’ first ever UK tour, Lily was her show DJ.

In addition, Lily is a freelance journalist and has contributed to Wonderland Magazine, Dazed & Confused, i-D Online, Clash Magazine, Noisey and Soul Culture. Lily has interviewed names like Mary J. Blige, Pete Rock, Wu-Tang Clan and Nas.

Studying Journalism at London College of Fashion, Lily created a magazine in which she explored some of the causes of anger in young people, focusing on social issues. For this project, she received a First-Class honours degree. While studying, she worked for WAH! Magazine, eventually editing the magazine and assisting Sharmadean Reid during the launch of WAH! Nails. Lily also worked at SB.TV as the online editor and was responsible for the hip hop interviews on the channel.

DJ Yasmin ; A Titan when it comes to Indonesia’s Dance Scene. Blessing hip venues across Indonesia, in Singapore, Malaysia, Phillipines, Thailand, Macao, Cambodia, Switzerland and even Amsterdam. Yasmin has also won an award as Best DJ at 2013 Paranoia Awards and entered the AMI (Anugrah Musik Indonesia) Awards chart for her single “Blessed”. And yet in 2018, she’s on #3 Top100 DJ Indonesia and #5 Indonesia’s DJ of The Year.

The model/commercial star turned DJ, started at the age of 19 by joining one of the biggest DJ Managements to complete her quest. She also has played on TV shows & numerous events, regularly. Not just an eye candy DJ, Yasmin’s sets are are known to be hypnotizing and electrifying which for those reasons, makes her one of the most In Demand Artists in the scene. Her inspirations spans from Don Diablo, Madeon, Porter Robinson, to Calvin Harris, and Armin Van Buuren.

Input Selector is an electronic music webzine, parties and a french collective of djs, producers, writers and friends, founded in 2008 to share their love for music.

Pronounced (ee-KIE-kah). Born in Hawaii, grew up in Chicago, and relocated to Las Vegas in 2010. I started DJing in the mid-80's; influenced by the birth of House Music and DJ culture in Chicago as well as East Coast Hip Hop turntablist/DJ godfathers.

My first club residencies were in Waikiki, Hawaii right out of high school in the late 80’s and my mixes were featured weekly on local radio. I was actually one of the first DJ’s to play House music in Hawaii clubs. Moved back to Chicago in the early 90's and competed & placed top 10 in a regional DMC DJ battle, weekly live guest mixes featured on college radio (WNUR & WUIC), weekly internet radio residency (Bassdrive.com), resident with Sit N Spin Productions Chicago, played a number of local & national raves, underground parties, & club events.

After taking a few years off, my primary focus is House music in the Chicago, Deep, Funky, Acid, Jazzy, Soulful vein. Currently I'm a resident for Downtown Soul every Wednesday night (SOULution Wednesdays) at Downtown Cocktail Room and every Friday night/Saturday morning after hours at The Phoenix Bar & Lounge.  I'm also affiliated with Undaground Elements Chicago, Unassociated Las Vegas, and LTL Entertainment Las Vegas.
