- Make a song in response to the weekly assigned poem (a new poem is published every Wednesday)
- When choosing a title for your piece also include the assignment number, for example “Title of your track (naviarhaiku110)”

- If you’re a Soundcloud user, upload it on Soundcloud and send me the URL via private message, or tag me in the track.
- If you upload your music on Youtube, Bandcamp or anywhere else, upload your submission and then send me the link by email at marco@naviarrecords.com or contact me on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram

This lovely haiku by Taylor Wray led me towards the Phrygian mode. My improvisation, in E Phrygian, is played on Babylon VST synth. Recorded and mixed in Reaper, with Frostbite2 added. Mastered with CloudBounce.

It's the half term school holidays in the UK this week, I'm sitting at home with two young kids and I read this email from Naviar for the Haiku challenge as it pops into my inbox.  I love the image this haiku creates. Outside my window at home we have tree branches that are winter bare. I was filming these the other day for another project. 
I had an idea for the music straight away - a 'bare' sort of sound to reflect the image of branches.  I started on this straight away. The kids are happy playing so I progressed and made this in about 2 hours.

A ghostly current drifts through the ruins of a forgotten world. Wraithstorm moves like an ethereal wind, carrying distant echoes of memory and time. Soft, glowing drones weave through the mist, while spectral melodies rise and fall like flickering apparitions in a dream. The soundscape is vast and meditative, evoking solitude, weightlessness, and quiet reflection. Let yourself dissolve into the endless horizon, where silence hums with the voices of the past.
