Dalmata Daniel welcomes Filmmaker and Petros Spatharos for the eighth part of their split series. This obscure 3-3 track vinyl is the debut of the Columbian music maker on the label. However, for the Athens-based producer it's a return after his participation on "Dalmata Daniel eats Lahmacun" compilation. But this project isn't their first collaboration, because Petros released his first album on Body Musick, Filmmaker's own imprint.

Filmmaker probably doesn't really need to be introduced to those who are comfortable with contemporary underground music. In less than five years he has composed and released a huge and relevant oeuvre by himself or on labels such as the UK-based Opal Tapes, Dutch Tartarus, Greek Phormix or the German Veyl, etc. To add Dalmata Daniel to this list is kind of a dream come true for the label, because they have been following his musical journey since the beginning. And no doubt, his side of the vinyl is another testament to his already perfected sound. What you recognise from the first moment of this noisy, industrial, sometimes dissonant ebm driven electro, infused with a film noir atmosphere and total darkness.

While on the flip side, Petros Spatharos keeps the obscurity going, which is the real link with his split partner's music. Only his sound is clean, not chaotic, but rather underworld techno with an extremely restrained tempo and some beyond-the-grave acid screams. That's how this inferno journey will be complete with full of dark emotional atmospheres and hypnotic textures.

Este track es de mis favoritos de NWT, y por eso decidí remasterizarlo.
La pieza nació como un experimento hace algunos años atrás, donde hemos mezclado letras de Joy Division como "Ice Age" y "Atrocity Exhibition" esta última en italiano, en una base rítmica con influencia HINRG, pero llevado a una esquina oscura, nostálgica y épica.
No fue fácil realizar algo que suena muy simple, pero que mezcla elementos aparentemente tan opuestos. 
Lo que si traté de mantener muy arriba es la bellísima y contundente sonoridad del Jupiter 8, Juno 60, Korg MS-20, Prophet 5, SH 101 y 
CR-8000, los cuales brindan la atmósfera y la actitud que soñé para 
este ejercicio.
Hemos disfrutado plenamente este resultado y esperamos

En el fin de año de 1985, el país vivía
aun el terrible aroma de muerte y tristeza causado
por los terribles sismos que azotaron de manera tan
catastrófica a tanta gente. Pocas cosas causaban alguna alegría.
Una de ellas para mi, era el nacimiento de Década 2 y otra fundamental: el lanzamiento del disco de la banda mexicana Techno pop -Casino Shanghai-
Creación de mis maestros y amigos: 
Ulalume Zabala, Walter Schmidt, Humberto Alvarez y Carlos Robledo.
Está por demás hablar de la belleza y propuesta de este disco tan importante en la historia del rock y la música electrónica en México. Hoy 33 años después, el le última noche del 2018  en espera del año nuevo, y tremendamente abrazado por la nostalgia, quiero compartirles una versión muy en demo, e instrumental, pero algo épica de una de las piezas más conocidas de esta enorme agrupación.
Hoy quiero homenajear aquellos tiempos y a ésta gente fabulosa, que tanto aportó a mi vida. Lo hago con toda humildad y respeto, sin embargo he trabajado con mi arsenal más querido de sintetizadores y máquinas.
Que todos pasen una majestuosa noche, 
en espera de grandes éxitos y bendiciones para 2019.

Cold wave, minimal techno, electro abstract, avant- hard, hardcore techno, break core, IDM, EBM, Death Rock, punk Rock, New Wave,Dark Wave, Ambient, MiamiBootyBase, SpeedBase, Dub, RagaMuffin, Dubstep, Industrial, Noise, Experimental, world beat...did I forget anything?  Neophyte, for sure, and these are all my newly found treasures, that I have dug up from around the world.
