This track is inspired by an old piece from 1982, which we played in my third Band. At that time we were enthusiastic and wanted to make music as a living. But we all ended up somewhere else, only our singer made it, as he joined Pink Cream 69 and later Helloween, where they are playing the big festivals till today :-)
I myself had stopped playing at all, focused on my profession and touched only the acoustic guitar from time to time. My Marshall JCM 800 and my Fender were becoming more and more living room Accessoires and were nicely looking hanging untouched at the wall. In 2015 my son woke up music in me again, when he came to me playing a song he had created with GarageBand on an iPad. Then the guitar flame started to burn again and finally the result you can listen here. I hope you enjoy it.

This is the second Part, where more the bass is in the foreground than the guitar. I am playing a Fender Jazzbass Deluxe with active pickups, which gives it a nice crunchy sound.

Lyrics:

And the drums sound cheap and my voice is much too deep
The notes, they all are wrong so just sing the same old song

I wrote about the days of old, and about a straight and narrow road
But you said it was too safe and lazy
So I sang a song about the time I had to watch a young man die
And you said I sounded kind of crazy

And the song is much  too long and the chords I play are wrong
You made it very clear that you just want to hear

At puffing clouds of pure cotton.
Fluffy breezes tickle by, trick your eyes and you realise,

Crazy rush-hour bloom time flowers
Clumsy bees bumbling in pollen trousers
The lambs are bouncing around on springs, ladybird spins her brand new wings.
Sticky toffee chestnut buds, they’re popping
Laughing leaves, and nothing’s stopping
The frantic rush to live and glow, to shine and grow, so now we know
