After watching the news about the volcanic eruption on the Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland, the four-piece post-rock band Laxá composed the first track of their new album as a result. 

Entititled "Eldensgill," which translates as "Fire Angel", it melds post rock and classical elements provided by the Heima Quartet.

Closing with She Never Says Goodbye and the Orwell-inspired It Doesn’t Matter Anymore, the album captures love, loss, obsession, and resilience in equal measure. Reflective yet defiant, this track confronts the past while striving to move forward. Anthemic choruses and pounding rhythm underscore its message of resolve.

11 – She Never Says Goodbye
A driving, Rick Springfield-inspired rocker about trust and confidence in love. It’s a powerful reminder that love doesn’t always need words to be secure.

12 – It Doesn’t Matter Anymore
Inspired by Orwell’s 1984, this concept-driven closer pulses with mechanical rhythms and chant-like vocals. Dark, hypnotic, and theatrical, it ends the album on a haunting note.
