Maybe no surprise from an artist who cites among his inspirations “the lush greenery of the Pacific Northwest,” Flora FM’s productions spill over with colour and vibrance. Recognisably part of an emerging tradition that seems to be North America’s answer to UK breaks culture, Flora FM’s latest release on Exotic Robotics continues the label’s run of playful, melody-rich dance music while folding in extra punch on tracks like Bronze Teeth and Magic Pebbles.

We feature, Softest Moon which rounds off the record in style. It's probably the most traditionally 'club ready' in structure of the bunch - kicking things off with a solid yet familiar bottom end, top end loop combo. The flicks and extra terrestrial nuances are something you'll be a custom to if au fait with Flora's otherworldly production style; but when this is met with the surging synth line - the melody's combine, creating a certified sonic treat.

WWP001 is the first product of the collaboration between Where We Met and Propersounds. It is a special limited edition for RSD2020 that will be distributed via Subwax only to indipendent record store. The first side is curated by WWM and kicks off with a deep emotional trip by matteo. You will be captured into his moody rhythms and vibes. The second track is the debut from Les Ondes, a French newby who gets into the business with a fresh, deep mellow house track. The second side is curated by Domenico Rosa's own Propersounds and reflects the distinctive trademarks of the label. B1 is from the master Seafoam and it's a blend of velvet melodies and housy rhythms, the B2 is from the Macedonian Mihail P, an emotional electro trip the perfectly close the EP.

This is Language's first record that came out back in 1991, showing off two great early UK techno cuts. Perhaps it was overlooked due to their second EP 'In The Lab', initially released the following year and recently reissued, but it's a must for groovy and melodic techno fans out there.

Almost 30 years later, this gem is being reissued on Baldo's Physical Education, on a special release that brings two additional cuts: previously unreleased demo from 1990 that were found by Language's Alex and Mark, while looking for the original recording tapes. Certainly a record to keep an eye out for, with a sound that aged very well and will get you moving your body for some physical education.
