CLR Podcast 258 – DJ Red

It is Monday the 3rd of February 2014 and we have DJ Red for the first time on the CLR Podcast. Born and raised in Rome, Italy, Simona Calvani p.k.a. DJ Red has been a resident for the Ultrabeat nights at Rome´s most important dance venue Goa club for the last 13 years. In 2012 she joined the BPitch Control artist roster and released her first record “Eyes Are Blind” on the BPitch Control label. Her mantra “creation is the source of energy” underpins the importance of the relationship between artist and public. Her innovative DJ style is characterized by Techno-Dub influences, dark and deep sounds. Since ’95, NOCO has been navigating the people into a state of trance with dance music. She intricately maps out a world that dives deep down into the farthest corners of Techno and Trance. The very essence of NOCO is the one-off experience, never playing the same set twice. Currently, she continues her self-exploration as one of the organizers and resident DJ of the open-air party PARAMOUNT that has been running since 2013.

Steering in a slightly up-tempo but still deep'ish pace, This was a closing for the Catch 428 stage that took place on a Monday morning from 3-5:30 AM (right before sunrise). The stage was powered by Void Acoustics "Incubus Edition'- a truly powerful system.

Undoubtedly, catch 428 throughout the weekend was a special adventure that was shared together on the Thai countryside & will be an unforgettable sonic experience engraved in our memories. An extended thanks to the Catch 428 team.
