Alberto Serrano, known artistically as Biorc, is a prominent DJ and producer based in Madrid, co-owner of Ethnic Meeting and Null Warp recordings.

Biorc's music has been recognized in legendary clubs and supported by industry renowned artists, establishing him as a significant emerging figure in the underground techno scene. Biorc has released 2 albums and 10 EPs, reflecting his meticulous approach to sound design, and has signed his music with labels such as Newrhythmic, Illegal Alien, and Diffuse Reality, among others
Focusing on dark and hypnotic techno sets, he is known for blending the mental with the physical, featuring long mixes and precise equalization. His artistic vision, combined with technical expertise and an unwavering dedication to the genre, positions him as a significant emerging figure in the ever-evolving narrative of underground electronic music.

On today’s episode of the Gekiga podcast we’re thrilled to present a special mix by the Italian born, Venezuelan raised, Argentinian resident Michel Lauriola.

Working in a raw, aggressive, yet classically oriented style, Michel Lauriola is one the leaders of techno’s new school who’s paving the way for a new generation of artists who innovate and expand the genre’s possibilities, while maintaining firm roots in 90s era templates,.

As a DJ, Michel has played every notable venue in South America and Europe, including Tresor, Razzmatazz, Art of School, Utopia, Sala Loops, and many more. As a producer, he has been on an absolute tear, dropping ep after ep across every prestige labels worldwide. This list includes MORD, Kazerene, PoleGroup, Edit Select, Faut Section, Newrhythmic Records, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, Planet Rhythm, and many more. His discography’s pedigree is hard to match, and his work stands tall as an important and uncompromising vision in a genre that is often derivative and uninspired.

I’m proud to call this talented artist a friend, a comrade in the struggle, and a true visionary of brutal expressionism.

Bio:
David Reina, born in Córdoba, in southern Spain. His musical career began in the mid90’s after having been involved in Hip Hop for a few years. In 1997 he began to getinvolved in Electronic music and more specifically in Techno, feeling more attracted tothe underground scene. After a decade playing around Spain and the United States,and having shared the stage with international artists in numerous venues and events,he decided to study music production and sound engineering.Releasing his music in the years that followed on labels such as: Axis, Warm Up, Subsist,Main Concept, Rhod, Gynoid Audio, Induxtriall, DarkForest, Methodical... just to name a
few.In 2018 he started his own record label called Legend 1997 Records focused on Sci-fi,Minimalistic Techno and Cinematic Soundscapes, with twenty releases so far.He released the first album of his career, in 2021, on the legendary Jeff Mills label AxisRecords. A purely conceptual work entitled "Future Technosignature”, twelve Spatialsound themes, Ambient Soundscapes, and clever dance exercises. All this with an eyeon the future of technology to find intelligent life in outer space as the main concept.He signed his second album “Deeping The Multiverse” in 2023. This time in his own
imprint, Legend 1997. Fourteen tracks of Futurist Techno, mixed with textures, bleepsand Electronic Jazz. Also featuring prominent Ambient Soundscapes, this time going darker and deeper along the trip.David makes his debut on the legendary Warm Up Recordings, Oscar Mulero’s record label, with the third album of his career called “Autoscopy” released on January of2024. Twelve Scientific and abstract Techno tracks, with a strong extraterrestrial touch,
carefully prepared paying close attention to detail. For this special occasion he offersits most rhythmic and danceable side except for the first and last song, totally withoutrhythm.

Since ’95, NOCO has been navigating the people into a state of trance with dance music.  She intricately maps out a world that dives deep down into the farthest corners of Techno and Trance.  The very essence of NOCO is the one-off experience, never playing the same set twice.  Currently, she continues her self-exploration as one of the organizers and resident DJ of the open-air party PARAMOUNT that has been running since 2013.
