PREMIERE : Baltra - Over Again

The dim glow cast a hazy flourish of light across the early morning sky. Soon it would fall beneath the surface of sight and the soft moon would vanish into the warm blue of daylight. In the greenhouse the flowers began to blossom and awaken beneath the first hint of the morning glow. The glass flickered beneath the glimmering beams and the murky green shadows within were illuminated and set alight. The rest of the park was quiet and still as the day broke. The night was gone. 

Coastdream is set to release a debut EP on X-Kalay who have consistently released music of supreme quality. This one is a sun kissed, summer ready house track with sublime form.

Founded in 2014, Men I Trust (menitrust.com), is an indie-dance band from Montreal (Canada) who produces its own music videos. “We love smooth sounds, calm melodies and simple rhythms that relax, but make your right foot tap and your chin bounce on the beats. We are all in DYI: we record, mix, master and shoot our music videos ourselves, and we’re loving it!”

We recorded You Deserve This last summer. We weren’t supposed to do any music that afternoon, we were really chilled out and in a great mood. We were playing with some rhythms and started having fun with detuned and off-phase synths. We recorded the guitars and the final vocals last month following our initial idea: it’s all about relaxing, wishing good to oneself and others and the nostalgic joy of feeling part of the universe.

Nasanieru aka Nasan is a 21 year old lofi house producer based from Los Angeles, CA. Nasan started producing at the age of 11 and grew his craft from Todd Edward's inspirations, Ross from Friends, Daft Punk, Roche Musique, Justice, MSTRKRFT, The Cure, Theo Parrish and Leon Vynehall...the early exposure to these artists have transformed into Nasan's grooved up lofi house sounds.

At 18 he decided to work for a blog that's based in France called "Do You Like That Song" , nd eventually became friends, and received mentoring from Todd Edwards, Patlok, YUKSEK and the crew at Roche Musique.

Nasanieru is ready to take his "Lo-fi 'till i Die" journey to full potential!

Mercury Vapor is a smooth 135 bpm breakbeat groove inspired by the glow of mercury vapor street lights. 

The green hue of this particular gas-discharge lamp adds an entrancing otherworldly glow to the street that it illuminates. The layers of swooping pads and the rich lead synth paint an illusory landscape. This transforms into a heavy groove with the introduction of the sub and breakbeat. 

Monolithic’s long-time collaborator Computer Data (San Francisco) has transformed the original motifs into a slick acid belter with warm chord pads and flowing lead synth melodies. The sustained basslines are sure to throw home listeners and clubgoers into a trance.

San Diego’s Bouquet Records delivers its third release mid-October, entitled ‘Lifetime’ and coming courtesy of Fragile X. Fragile X is the new collaborative guise of Inga Schunn and Dylan Chase, the latter has been releasing material as Caffeine Worldwide over the past few years. 

Here with the ‘Lifetime’ EP the pair inaugurate their new project, the collection of tracks was recorded over four days in Mexico City in early 2019. Schunn provided vocals while Chase focused on the mechanical aspects. It was mixed by Chase in Mexico City in 2020, while he was sick with Covid-19. We don’t know if there will be another record. A lot is uncertain these days. 

This EP marks the third vinyl release by Bouquet, a label and party series based in Chase’s hometown of San Diego. Title-cut ‘Lifetime’ leads the release with garage tinged off-kilter drums, swirling atmospherics, snaking sub bass grooves and resonant synth melodies all dynamically unfolding underneath Schunn’s hypnotic vocal stylings.
