[EN] Oktoom Records is honored to present "Rhizophora", by joining the Aekda & Re-Surge projects. Rhizophora is an immersion in the “PsyMangue” concept, where the Northeastern psychedelia and the immeasurable legacy of popular culture are revered through the language of the future, psytrance. The strips are named after species native to the mangrove swamp, in honor of the biome from which Pernambuco's psychedelia has flowed in recent decades.

Contrary to the current trend of 20+ track comps, we feel that keeping the track count low allows us to maintain a regular release schedule and top-shelf quality control. For our initial blast, Professor Izzm curated a very fine selection of tracks from some close friends around the world, including Mexico, Argentina, Costa Rica and Japan. These tracks have a funky, brightly twisted vibe, with just a hint of melody dissolving into pure psychedelic chaos.
