We’re thrilled to introduce Extase Urbaine's debut EP, "Sacred Winds"! Hailing from Athens, the DJ/Producer presents 4 tracks that delve into the darker realms of Techno leftfield.
Kicking off the EP is the title track, “Sacred Winds”, a hypnotic burner that sets the tone. “1990” ramps up the energy, while “Wet Abyss” unleashes a high-tempo debauchery monster. Slowing things down, “Hide in the Light” offers a mesmerizing blend of new beat and trance.
On the remix front, we have the returning Alpha Sect who speeds up “Hide in the Light” with a Techno / EBM angle. And last but certainly not least, Zaatar puts her signature spin on “Sacred Winds”.
“Sacred Winds” is out on March 1st.

Bloody Mary's Alternate States Of Reality on Dame Music delivers a powerful exploration of techno's diverse sounds. Side-1 opens with 'Reality One' (Acid mix), a heavy-hitting track drenched in mid-90s acid energy. The buildup is intense, leading to an explosive release that captures the essence of classic acid techno. Following it is 'Reality Two' (alternative mix), which shifts the vibe with a breakbeat/electro twist, introducing a darker, moodier melody. Flipping to Side 2, 'Reality Three' (909 mix) brings in a more percussive and straightforward warehouse techno feel. It's a banger designed for peak-time moments on the dancefloor. The 'Reality Three' (Slam mix) remix adds a Detroit flavour, playing with tempo shifts that keep the listener on their toes. Blending different styles while keeping the energy high, this is a strong addition to any techno enthusiast's arsenal.

People often say a picture is worth a thousand words, but what of a song? Take a single song and show it to a thousand people and you’re bound to get a thousand different interpretations, moods, reactions and opinions. Far Out Radio Systems latest offering aptly named, “Far Out Radio Systems Vol. 03” embodies that theory and more. The four tracks selected stretch from club centric to jungle and there and back again. Each full to the brim with a myriad of emotions and moments. With that being said, we here at Fiction have chosen, “In A Moment of Pure Being (4 A.M. Mix)” to premier in full and what a ride it is.

The track begins, with the sounds of birds chirping. Dipping in, and out of the background, as a lone piano melody floats in the midst. Progressing along, there is tension in the air as the hi-hats and snares come in, quickly followed by the kick and the track is rocketing off. Characteristically of many of his remixes and originals, the drums are in full effect and immediately recognizable and lend a heavy hand to the almost somber feeling of the track. Albeit there is a sense of hope once the melody returns in the second half.

Overall this is another great entry in the legacy of Far Out Radio Systems (aka Kiani and His Legion). This is vinyl only, off of Tanzbar Records, but don’t let that stop you from ordering it. Releases like these don’t come around too often and when they do, you should take note.

PREMIERE: Far Out Radio Systems - In A Moment Of Pure Being (4 A.M. Mix) [Tanzbar Records]

Deep within the maze he wandered between corridors and dense green walls of foliage and fear. He was lost and struggling to find a way out of this twisted fantasy. They'd told him to follow the inner path, it would lead him to where he needed to be and open the door to a world of new found possibilities and an enlightened sense of self. The dark sky loomed overhead as he looked upwards towards the stars and dreamt of home far, far away. He shivered and proceeded onwards...

Blue Hour is a label of which we are most fond here at Ransom Note, it represents that sweet spot between heavy hitting techno, trance and euphoric ambience. It's the type of inspiring, uplifting material which has been keeping us going through a miserable year and for that we tip our hat to them. This track is by Trading Xircles, a collaborative project which focusses on texture and soundscapes as much as it does club ready material.
