Closure

This song is about someone i knew once, they built a lot of their relationships through lying. I liked the idea of playing with the phrase "live, laugh, love," it became so over used that it started to sound disingenuous. When you lie all the time, eventually the people you want around will start to see through you. When you base relationships around lies, they love the story you made up for yourself and i can't imagine that feels good. I think some people find comfort in lying but it's something I can't understand as lying makes me feel stressed and guilty. With songs i write, I always like to step into the shoes of other people, when you understand other people better, you learn things about yourself too.

A song me and Callum wrote together for my University Album project. It's not being used for Dacara so I thought I'd upload it here :D
It's not perfect lyric and melody wise, there are things i'd change if I was to revisit, but for what it was i'm quite proud.
The lyrics are about someone who feels entitled to their 'crush' on the internet. It happens to people A LOT especially when you get the "you were ugly anyway" after you reject someone.
