San Andreas Fault was founded in 1999 in a small studio embedded in a Chicago steel and wire plant.  Producer, writer and multi-instrumentalist Rob Warmowski built Trailing Edge studios around early 16-bit audio equipment, recruiting drummer Jeff BBQ and Scott Mousetrap on keys.  The Fault solidified when guitarslinger Pete Muschong answered an ad in 1999.  Small-run CD-R singles resulted and in 2003 the Fault released "Encantada" on Blue Leader records.  The Fault appeared with Dick Dale and Link Wray, toured the US and contributed soundtracks to TV and video games before breaking up in 2005.  In 2013 the band reunited, recorded and released the single "Blowne Leafe" and performed an original theatrical score for Chicago's Redmoon Theater.
