Before FRANCO FORTE saw daylight, he was already moving in another dimension: music. His first connection to the world wasn’t a cry, but the steady, pulsing heartbeat of a disco bassline, echoing through the warmth of his mother’s womb. Curtis Mayfield, Donna Summer, Chic – not lullabies, but early awakenings. His early mentors were not teachers, but magicians: Grandmaster Flash, Afrika Bambaataa, Theo Parrish.

In 2003, he stepped into the nightlife. Vienna became his playground, the legendary Leopold his laboratory. From 2004 to 2010, he shaped genre-bending nights – one vinyl at a time. Disco never died. House never stopped. They danced on in his hands.
But FRANCO FORTE is no retro romantic. His sound is not nostalgia – it’s an act of devotion: to groove, to guitar, to raw basslines, to ecstatic house and sparkling disco in all its shades – playful, gritty, smooth, explosive. He quotes funk with a wink, lets guitar riffs float like thoughts, and grounds it all with a bassline that says more than words.
Clubs like Volksgarten, Pratersauna, and Flex became moments in time. PMK, Rauch, Postgarage – cities became stories. He doesn’t just DJ – he carves space out of sound.
Since 2010, he’s been the beating heart of ImPulsTanz, Austria’s most celebrated international festival for dance and performance. A DJ among dancers, a dancer among DJs – a storyteller without a mic, using decks instead of words.
