“Whim of Nature” is a new track off of UVB’s new EP ‘An Inquisite Taste’ out on his record label Body Theory June 20th. The album is described as being filled with “faith induced ceremonies through uplifting industrial funk music”. This track definitely fits the description, filled with a driving industrial bassline and funky synths.

Subtyl artist collective has been making waves in the french underground scene for the past 7 years. Described as “one of Paris most dynamic techno promoter” by Mixmag, the collective has had a major role in the french rave renaissance, by organising clandestine events in industrial spaces. 

Last year, the collective opened its own venue in a former hallal supermarket called Megadestock.

A place that embodies the collective ethos, based on solidarity, passion and support for emerging talents.

To keep pushing this agenda, we are now releasing a 13 tracks compilation by artist we invited previously at our event. From Size Pier’s EBM to the violent experimentation of Quelza, through to Voiski’s iconic trance and Cuften post-rave sound, Megadestock Vol 1 shows the energy and diversity of the electronic music scene in Europe.

On BAS008 Bassiani welcome Voiski and his uplifting take on techno. Cascading snares, dreamy melodies and a good dose of cosmically charged sounds make "Our Brilliant Future" a beautifully crafted ode to hope. The motive comes in many facets: starting off with "Sit Down Next To Me" and it's tightly knit melody, retrospective amalgamates with futurism. Then we dive into the roaring cave of "Chasing Shadows", where the bass is deep and the synths cheeky. "TearSystem" stays true to its name: rave romanticism in its crystallized form. Fading out on "Your Heart Starts To Race" Voiski closes on a distant note, nevertheless attuned with the cosmic groove.

"Based on Instinct" is the first solo EP of Atmophile Electronics co-founder Sharad Sood. All 4 tracks are composed in playful hardware jams, each following its own concept, from synthesis approach over rhythmic structures and recording techniques up to the editing process. Second release on the Copenhagen imprint, featuring tracks by DJ IBON, Lund&Rønde and Escaping Tendency, all from the local BunkerBauer crew. The release consists of three fast and trance infused tracks for the floor, and makes a contribution to the current flowering of Copenhagen dance music.

BunkerBauer is a DJ and producer collective, and has been a central institution in the Copenhagen techno scene for several years. All tracks are produced in the BunkerBauer studios which is located in an old bunker from world war 2, in the centre of the city.

On the A side there is Lund&Rønde's rolling hardtrance inspired banger. The B side contains DJ Ibon's longwaited "White Flag", a melancholic percussion driven techno tune, followed by the wax debut of Escaping Tendency, a more slow and groovy track
