"The inspiration for these tracks I got from the "Dark Star" movie of John Carpenter. This movie has a very unique atmosphere  so I tried to integrate this into the tracks! You are about to listen to some cosmic techno with dark pads and effects, electric and melodic synths that push the track accompanied by a hard and deep kick."

Much of Van Did's music tells an adventure story arced over warping rhythms, minimalist classical touches and documentary-like vocals, often reflecting environmental themes. After releasing more than 20 original tracks and elaborate remixes on several labels including Germany's Traum Schallplatten, he created his own in 2011: Grrreat Recordings, geared to explorations of immersive sound landscapes, field recordings, textured sound design and techniques for signal processing. Three years in the making, his newest release, Avenir plays on themes of horizon, future and perspective, launching the melodic and colourful club style of Montréal event-maker and collective, 8day's label.

I started my passion for music around year 2000, at that time some of the guys of our collective where making techno and I got really hooked into it. Our biggest influences came from Detroit and Berlin.

I jumped into Psychedelic music in 2019, heavily influenced by the music of labels like Zenon Records or  Copycow, to name a few.

My music incorporates the textures and a bit of the nostalgia from the Techno that influenced me the most in the early 2000’s. The atmosphere of the clubs, the long nights and early mornings  dancing with the hypnotic beat of Detroit and Berlin Techno & Minimal. 

All this connected with the Psychedelic influences I have nowadays.
