Hey lovelies! I hope everyone had a great entry into 2022!

It occurred to me that it's been a while since I shared a full set of mine so I thought new year = new set 🎶 

The name "Plava" is used in the Indian Panchang system (Hindu Calendar) from where each year has a name. 
The year 2019-20 was named ‘Vikari’, meaning "illness". 
The year 2020-21 was named ‘Sharvari’, meaning darkness. It's pretty safe to say that these previous years lived up to both of their names. 
Now the ‘Plava’ year (2021-22) - ‘Plava’ means, "that - which ferries us across". In other words a new beginning. 

It's now up to us how we want to define the time to come - Let's make the best out of it! <3

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to established contact with The Sponges again. Through the power of Starlink and the radiowaves of anything below 125BPM, we were able to hear fragments of what Space Funk '75 once was on the 20th February 2019.

Over 5 years on, this track continues to live and breathe in an ecosystem of electronic music thats unforgiving and usually brutal. This is truely a legacy track not only for Box of Cats but for an era of music lovers that decided to create memories on the dance floor in the past few years. We truely believe that this will continue into the future when we have flying cars and Spotify chips in our brains.

Today The Sponges have delivered one of their most sought after ID's which is their Space Funk '75 remix. They have been playing it for years at their 'bush-doofs' but now it's time for everyone to get their hands on it. Gaff Records' debut compilation celebrates the essence and heart of why this label exists. Founder JuliosMap began his journey into the psytrance scene in 2016 by organizing the Psychedelic Gaff parties. As a tribute to those unforgettable nights, the compilation is titled '𝘗𝘴𝘺𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘤 𝘎𝘢𝘧𝘧'.

In Irish slang, "gaff" refers to a house or a place where people gather, embodying the spirit of community and connection these events have fostered.

Empirikal aka Nimrod Gorovich and Dekel Kamiosky, are one of the most promising duos that
modern intelligent PsyTrance has to offer. Formed in 2013, Empirikal are mixing new-wave with
progressive and uplifting PsyTrance into their own unique and groundbreaking sound and style.
Growing up together at a small village in the northern part of Israel, Nimrod and Dekel found their
enjoyment in creating music together. Influenced by artists like Simon Posford, LOUD, Infected
Mushroom, Psysex and Mamady Keïta, this creative duo are composing their inspiration from
authentic tribal beats, psychedelic experiences and nature into every melody and sound. Nimrod's
background as a composer and musician, combined with Dekel's background as a DJ, creates a rich

With a blasting debut track, “Dark Angel”, released on TIP Records, followed by promising follow
ups, the duo drew Immediate world wide attention. Keeping the high road to expand Empirikal
awareness in the PsyTrance scene, their unique character and alternative musical style got the
attention of HOMmega, who quickly drafted them to their roster, side by side with Infected
Mushroom, Astrix, Juno Reactor and more.

ScamAntrix is a female DJ from Cape Town, South Africa that plays a variety of different sub psy-genres such as psychedelic, psy-gression & progressive trance... She also dabbles with Minimal Techno with elements of tribal infusion - that is called her Toni L8lee act.

Her vast exposure to the entire electronic music spectrum showcases her versatility. ScamAntrixs' DJ sets often include lesser known artists whom she has sourced by digging deep into the music matrix - this is one of the contributing factors to her sets having an entirely unique, fresh signature sound, regardless of genre.

She has played at almost ALL the main Trance festivals in South Africa, along with one international performance at The Tree of Life Festival in Turkey 2015.
