(Haute Lévitation Mutée) - the collaborative brainchild of Andrew Claristidge and Guillaume Laidain...Our pick 'Ruines, Béton & Industrie', emerges like a transmission from a forgotten brutalist utopia, space-delayed signals and chugging rhythms leading the audience into a sweat-slicked basement ritual on the banks of the Drac River. As the track unfolds, it mutates, shifting from a slow-burning dirge to a fevered hypnosis of dark disco arpeggios, acid-washed bass and ominous monologues dissecting dystopian behaviours in landscapes of steel and stone. The track pulses with the fractured heartbeat of an abandoned metropolis, where echoes of the past reverberate through the machinery of the present.

H.L.M. (Haute Lévitation Mutée) is a duo of lifelong friends whose 30-year journey through Rave culture has profoundly influenced their sonority. Their strong bond and shared experiences have resulted in a distinctive sound that seamlessly blends experimental, electronic, and ambient elements. This close partnership is reflected in the rich, immersive textures, and hypnotic rhythms they have meticulously crafted over the years, working between Bordeaux and Berlin.

Their latest LP, released on the Berlin-based label Le Petit Signal, invites listeners into a post-industrial soundscape. The album, titled "Ruines, Béton & Industrie," creates an atmosphere of concrete and fleeting moments, capturing the essence of a cityscape in transformation. The music bridges the physical and digital realms, offering a deeply resonant experience.
