Hello. I’m K1. Some know me as K UNO.  I’m really bad at talking about myself in the 3rd person, so I’m not going to. My obsession with EDM began in the late 90’s. No one else I knew was really into it and all my friends poked a bit of fun at me, but there was just something about the sounds. I was always at bestbuy raiding their limited “techno” section. I grew up listening to Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Bad Boy Bill and DJ Irene. I’d always been a very musical child. If you gave me an instrument, I could learn to play it in minutes. I was in various bands throughout my teen years. But none of that ever really panned out.
I’d always wanted to try my hand at djing but the cost of entry was just too high. At the time, vinyl was king and I simply couldn’t afford it on a fast food wage. See I was doing this from the perspective of music. I wasn’t interested in going to the club or becoming a part of the culture. I just wanted to interact with my music instead of just playing it. In 2007 I finally had the financial means to aquire a set of vinyl turntables and to make weekly trips to R-Type Records (Later relocated to Dallas and renamed “Remix Records”)
I had no desire to play in public until a friend of mine handed off one of my set recordings to John Wayne Colwell. After that I scored gigs at various house parties and field raves. I’ve played at the Lizard Lounge, Club PRIME, Afterlife, Lone Star in FW, Bobby Blues and others. My favorite gigs are outdoor festivals. The open air and general friendliness of the patrons gets me everytime 
If you want dark, heavy, grindy dubstep I play it. If you are after 175 bpm madness, I play it. You want hoodrat bass music, I play it. I love interacting with people at shows. If you see me play, and you dig my music, please come talk to me after my set. In Bass We Trust 
