Lament is an important spiritual practice that allows us to not fall into the pits of despair, but rather gives us the needed space to be open and raw with the pain that we feel. Lament can expand our hearts and help us grow in compassion. When we lament, we have a God that is ever present with us and weeps when we weep.v
