Earlier this year, I visited Ethiopia with Soma and charity: water. I was asked to use music to convey what we saw: the struggle of villages without clean drinking water and the triumph of every community transformed through the gift of water.

Already winning a swathe of top flight DJ support, the remake features 18-year-old Cape Town native Julia Church on vocals and sees Dom Peters and Dave Poole crafting a new future house-influenced bass line to their trademark sound of organic instrumentals. Her mature voice lilts effortlessly over muted organs and swelling synths, giving the lyrics body and strength that work with, not against, full-bodied piano and saxophone sections.
