For the past year I have been deep-diving into synthesis and sound design. That process made me fall in love with the hypnotic, looped yet constant moving soundscapes all over again. So much so that I went back to the root of sound sources and ended up using a lot of the classic synths, sounds and techniques.

Once in a while, you hear music that just hits you in all the right places and feels like the perfect fit for your ears and your mind. 

This 4-tracker by Anna V. was one of those for me. 4 great individual pieces that together paint the perfect picture.

I have known Anna V. for years and can assure you she is an artist with great depth, talent, and passion. It shines through from her personality and into her music. To me, that is especially noticeable on this Noir Music release entitled “Aether”.

I hear all her emotions flowing through the soundscapes and although we are dealing with deep, dark techno pieces they all have a distinct sense of hope and light deeply integrated. 

For me, it was love at first listen and I am proud to release these tracks and welcome Anna V. to the Noir Music family.

Spektral is one of the most straightforward techno tracks I have produced in the past 2 to 3 years. It’s designed to sound raw, in your face, and straight to the point.
Under the hood, of course, a lot is going on like in almost all of my productions.
All elements are highly modulated and ever-changing to give you that hypnotic movement to sink into. On this particular track, spectral resonators played a big part in the sound design.
Everything is wrapped in 909 beats and arranged to suit the dance floors. Have a listen and see if it hits you in all the right places.

“Impel” almost sounds like 2 tracks blend together.
I experimented with granular synthesis which resulted in the disruptive middle piece of this track. I love surprise elements in music and feel I accomplished something that stands out with “Impel”. Some will love it, others might dislike it.

This Part 3.2, in the Noir Remixed series, offers 4 incredible remixes from 4 artists.
You probably know some of the names, some you might not have heard of; but the fact is...... You should really have all of them on your radar cause they all create incredible music and have stunning back-catalogues.
I chose the remixers strictly from my own personal taste in music and it's all producers I felt could take the originals in totally different directions.
In my ears all of them delivered outstanding results and made this another great remix package in the Noir Remixed series.

Pneuma was born during the lockdown. The frustration, claustrophic state, uncertainty and feeling of being “alone together” came out through music. I allowed the music to take the first step and I took the next. It almost felt like the tracks were writing themselves and I was just there to record. But obviously it comes from a place inside my soul.

Pneuma 1 came to life first. Those broken beats flew right out of me and the dark atmosphere followed on top.
On the journey Pneuma 2 and 3 started breathing as well and eventually I created and finished all three versions at the same time.
These are some dark, aggressive pieces but if you listen carefully you hear hope and optimism between the beats.
