In what’s been a stand out year for the Berlin based, London born, DJ & producer, Amy Dabbs has dropped releases on Lobster Theremin, launched her own label ‘Dabbs Traxx’ and collaborated with junglist Coco Bryce on new label project ‘LT CODA’. With a distinguished sound and undeniable flair, both behind the booth and in the studio, Amy’s brand of classic house and radiant jungle now comes to Low Battery with her ‘Baddest Gal’ EP.

‘Don’t Go’ opens the EP with shimmering synths and lighter than air percussion. The mood is light and understated, conjuring warm and affectionate emotions without the need for amplified design. ‘No You’ then welcomes us with mid-summer melodies and sprawling pads; vocal loops adding to that feeling of fuzziness and warmth.

The B side opens with title track ‘Baddest Gal’ an emotional percussive workout that combines thoughtful arrangement with euphoric and dreamy notes. It’s one of those tracks that could work just as well in a DJ set or cloud watching as the world slowly drifts by. ‘Your Move’, The record's finale shows a different side to Amy’s dynamic productions; the track ebbs and flows and could be likened to the mixed emotions of meeting an old friend: Excited but nervous, happy but always with a heart-heavy goodbye.

After some proper hardgroove mixes our INVITES series returns with a versatile and eclectic entry by Vienna-based DJ and producer Farr, who effortlessly combines multiple genres in his one hour set for Wiener Gerüstbau.

Having started as a drummer in funk and soul bands, he switched to producing club music a few years ago, never compromising on his broad influences that range from UK bass music and old-school techno to ambient, IDM and dubbed-out 70s Krautrock. As a promoter of the Euphoria series at PRST he teamed up with fellow music enthusiast Børt to bring those influences into a proper club setting.

It is said that lychee fruits, consumed in large quantities, can be poisonous to humans. Perhaps that's why this sick new mix from Young Lychee is so deadly ☠️ For half an hour you'll be administered a cocktail of Electro, Breakbeat, Ghetto House and even some Europop! The resulting lethal combination can only be counteracted by the application of fresh music directly to the ears. Luckily such an antidote is contained within the mix in the form of several RAIDERS & friends trax, including stuff from Young Lychee, DJ Fucks Himself and the appropriately named DJ Detox.

At Noire State, we're all about pushing boundaries (especially whilst we're all stuck at home), and one person who's been doing that over 5000 miles away, in Seoul, is our next artist, @jucid_d. With the electronic music scene up and coming in the metropolis, we're excited to be entering double digits in our mix series with this half hour blast of Electro and Breaks.

@jucid_d has had a busy year despite COV1D setbacks, performing regularly for Cakeshop livestreams, as well as streams with @co_kr, and a recent livestream for SCR Radio which was received with positive reception, bringing her to the forefront of the underground scene in Seoul. Expect weapons from the likes of @kiddy-wav, @3phasesupply and @djtriggermode; a seriously high energy set to bring us into the weekend.
