Had this song for a while, just decided to post it real quick. Vocals aren’t amazing but I didn’t spend to much time on this been really busy lately and want to focus on making more new things. But I’ve always liked this so here it is. A like is always appreciated and let me know what you all think.

Left for Nothing

**The Unfolding Now**

The root of sorrow, this deep human plight,
Is a life without meaning, adrift in the night.
A neurosis, a void, a whisper unseen.
So we search for a purpose, a philosophical scene.
But what is this 'meaning,' this sign we demand?
Do we ask the whole universe to speak in our hand?
To be words signifying, beyond what they are?
Reducing our existence to a distant, cold star?

All that is mortal, they whisper, a symbol it seems.
But a symbol of what? Beyond our half-glimpsed dreams?
Is it belonging to plans, a fellowship grand?
Or the primal urges, understood, in this land?
Hunger, love, self-expression, a biological call.
Yet, do these point onward, to a future that enthralls?
Or a theological meaning, a person, a heart?
A love between God and man, setting us apart?
But even in this yearning, what truly we crave?
What content, what essence, beyond the light wave?

Consider the music, an arabesque, profound.
We feel it significant, without a clear sound.
Not meaning *of* something, not imitating a cry.
But satisfying *as it is*, beneath a vast sky.

In moments of quiet, when seeking fulfillment cools.
When inner turmoil stills, breaking old rules.
We find significance in the ordinary, the small.
Peeling paint, stones on a road, answering nature's call.

Not significant *of* what, but significant *of itself*.
A quality of mind, escaping the shelf.
We've overlooked its presence, in our endless quest.
The world *is* its meaning, put to the ultimate test.

The significance... is the world... as it is...
What is going on now...
The scheme of things... justifies itself...
At every moment... of its unfoldment...
Just now... just this...
Silence... significance...
