Up and coming Mexican artist Ademarr joins Roam Recordings with two originals to form the Cannibal EP. The title track combines guitars, echoes of voices, and dark stylish electronic rhythms into a driving dance floor mover. To The West is an aptly named tune that weaves live bass, guitar twangs, and harmonica into a futuristic Western soundscape. Up first on remix duty is Zombies in Miami that take Cannibal deeper into hypnotic territory with the expert dance floor touch of their live shows. Javi Redondo takes To The West into more chilled out territory with arped out synthesizers and congas perfect for an epic daytime jam session.

Following on from his acclaimed 2017 debut album and an accompanying EP that relaunched the legendary British label, Novamute, Nicolas Bougaïeff presents a three track EP on Max Cooper’s Mesh imprint out June 26th. ‘Dust’ borrows its name from a short story by Greg Egan, in which a future scenario grants humans the ability to duplicate their consciousness as software, thus experiencing immortality.

Inspired by this narrative, Nicolas decided to focus on the experiences of the main character, who observes himself becoming increasingly disordered in his surroundings. As such, the EP is equal parts exhilarating and disturbed, taking references from melodic techno and distorting them into new forms amongst vast, unfamiliar landscapes.

‘Dust’ presents a glitchy melodic lead which unravels itself through 7 minutes of sudden volume changes and expansive acoustics. ‘Bremsstrahlung’ deconstructs the components of a hypnotic techno track, repurposing them into a tense framework. ‘Dust Theory’ morphs the theme from the title track into an abstract cocktail of ambient wanderings and harsh noise pollution.

The pair also hosts the radio Show “What’s My Derivative?” on Bloop Radio. Since Mireia Record’s big cheeses RSS Disco have been keen to gamble with the Time’s music, routinely lighting up dancefloors with it, a loose connection and mutual admiration formed overthe years and eventually lead to this fine record here.
