Clear is the first released single from singer/songwriter Nolan Simons. 

A product of the 90's - 00's alternative rock scene, Nolan is bringing the musical influence of his formative years into his sound in 2020 and beyond. 

First full EP slated for 2020 release.

A departure from my old stuff while remaining true to the roots. An EP about starting to feel a little better about yourself. Please remember that all American music traces its influences back to Black music, including this.

Cold War

Happy Thanksgiving. About to spend it away from family for the first time in my life. I'm lucky enough to still be able to afford to order the classic spread, takeout for two. This shit just sucks, it's absolutely wild that people still act like nothing's happening. ICU's are filled to capacity, and it's just going to get a lot worse from here. I hope we can see our families again soon.

Update 11/29: Added some synths, an organ, and some Christmas-y sound effects. Thanksgiving was great, if different. I got to see my family via Zoom for about an hour and a half then had some delicious Thanksgiving food ordered from a local restaurant with my lovely girlfriend. After that the day was a haze of Zelda and Naruto before bed. We slept in on Friday. It was great.

I'm trying to find more comfort in the little things. To better appreciate the things in my life that are going well. Writing songs about the things that frustrate and upset me helps me to channel them out of myself, into a product that I hope others can relate to.
