A brief Killswitch Engage-style clip I knocked up to show how this guitar copes with high gain tones despite having low-output Bare Knuckle "The Mule" pickups.
I'm using the Soldano SLO100 model on the Axe-FX, through a Redwire Soldano 4x12 cabinet. Drums are S2.0 as per usual.

01: "Mercury Rising" by 8Dawn Productions

My buddy Adrian Barnes came to visit from Canada, so we wrote a little ditty (essentially an excuse to get a bit proggy with some rock riffs). The mix is pretty basic, thrown together quickly but I don't want to change anything in case it all comes crumbling down..

Trying out the new Redwirez Bogner 2x12 IRs with my Dæmoness 7, which now has a BKP Aftermath in the bridge position. This IR set seems to give a real grindy, heavy kinda Whitechapel style tone. I used the SM57, cap 0.5" impulse for the main part of the tone, and I also blended in a little bit of the Redwirez Uberkab IR too, using the T75 speaker and SM57.

Here's a short clip of the new 5150 III Red model on Axe-FX II Firmware 6.01. I used my signature ViK Duality 7 for guitars, Dingwall Combustion for bass.

This is a single I produced, mixed and mastered for UK metal/hardcore band Ruin (https://www.facebook.com/RUINuk).

Mixing instruments tuned this low presents some difficulties but I'm very happy with how this turned out :)

Here's a guitars-only clip of my signature ViK Duality 7 playing some metal rhythm. I love this thing, it's such a tight and articulate sounding guitar, but with a lot of body and "soul". There's no post-EQ on this clip, it's completely raw

Here's a clip of the new firmware 10 for Axe-FX II, it starts out vaguely serious then gets silly. I think the new firmware sounds great though!
I used my ViK Duality 7 for guitars, Dingwall Afterburner for bass. Drums are Toontrack Metal Machine with NO processing, literally just loaded up the default kit and left it as is.

Of Glaciers - Enlightment I: In Question

Around summer 2013, I started writing some rock songs with former Funeral For A Friend drummer Ryan Richards for a bit of fun. The intention was to find a vocalist and put some material out but with our hectic schedules we haven't gotten around to that part of things just yet. That said, I'm really happy with how this came out and wanted to share it rather than keeping it sitting on my desktop gathering dust, hope you guys enjoy! 
We recorded this at Moles Studio in Bath, with Ryan's incredible Pearl Masterworks drum  kit he used mainly on FFAF's "Tales Don't Tell Themselves" album. Guitars were tracked with my wonderful ViK Hollowbody Caprice into a Diezel VH4 (kindly loaned by Paul of Zilla Cabs), through my Zilla 4x12 cabinet. Bass is my Dingwall Afterburner 6-string through a Darkglass B7K.
