Music Is Medicine!

In December I was invited to Tulum to play at a event for a friends birthday, this trip also spawned into a New Years trip in Panama with some of my best friends from around the world.

The trip was challenging it was during the pandemic but nevertheless all precautions were taken. We had regular covid tests and keep our container safe.

2020 was a crazy year so when the music played it brought an energy and release that's hard to put into words. As lock down comes to an end and we approach the summer, I felt called to put together a completion mix of some of the tracks that I played which touched many people at different times during my month long trip.

Dancing with sandy feet, refreshing in the Turquoise colors of the sea during the day and observing the most magnificent Milky Way in front of a Fire and a Copal smoke smell at night.

This set is my tribute to the land that gave Freedom to my Soul.

The next artist comes from the mountains of East-France.

I was born in the mountains of the north east of France but I live today in the sun of Toulouse. I have two great passions in life: nature (specialized in botany, Cardamine pratensis is the first plant I have determined) and good electronic music. Since one year I try to mix by chaining tracks with my ears and virtual dj. Music allows me to trip into a wonderful world.

The journey of Hug Records started six months ago and we are delighted that we had already five amazing artists contributing to our project. @thomas-gaarthuis was one of the first artists to commit to this back in July. We decided to open this year with a beautiful edit of the Fugees from him. We usually check with the original artists before releasing edits, but neither Wyclef Jean nor his ageny headmusic replied to our email. We love the edit though and we decided to release it nevertheless. However, it is on donation basis and you can decide yourself how much you want to pay. 100% of the income from this track will go to our charity partner Love Foundation. We certainly felt the energy during our Sol Selectas showcase, and the 5 days that followed, taking in the sunshine and positive vibes  this sacred land provides, to those who stop to be present, and listen.
