I recorded this whilst battling covid. you can probably tell by that first lick that I'm fresh off of watching Godspeed You! Black Emperor live. meeting Sophie (thank you so much for signing my poster) and Efrim was such a trip.

I recorded this in stereo, which is a first, on a different recorder. some new ideas here, but there's still a weakness there. I guess it has done a great job reflecting my sickness. also, I've gradually been getting past my perfectionist tendencies to do away with noise.

In a tumultuous time, On the eve of my 30th birthday, I shamelessly sit and play the guitar, and put a dress on, and makeup on. don't ask me why... This track is a snapshot of my journey with discovering my gender, it's identity in relation to the male and female templates (which, by the way, are vastly different between parts of the world) that tend to be enforced on people. 

Uncertainty clouds my vision, I close my eyes and dance. Might as well, while the american government plays a literal lottery to decide my immediate future. 

As Jimi Hendrix once said, "Excuse me, while I kiss the sky" or did he say "Excuse me, while I kiss this guy"? Much like Schrodinger's cats, let's just say it is both until you check.
