Returning with a fourth edition of his popular series first debuting in September 2020, "Fantasy, Vol. 4" opens with the effervescent "Aeon" and its driving rhythmic backdrop. Before long, beautifully evolving pads are melded with a shimmering arpeggio and emotive bassline. Waxing and waning with dancefloor ease, it is a real showcase of the Belarusian's talent. Continuing, "Galactic Voices" immediately impresses with its bouncing bassline and heavy beat. White-noise infused pads add an open feel while a delayed synth lead sits perfectly alongside the bass key changes. The result is an aptly titled track that fizzes with energy. Belying, its chunky groove, "Nightshift" is a smooth and evocative affair that lilts effortlessly along with a parallel lead line cutting through the assembled array of delays and reverbs that shine at the breakdown. Hitting its stride once more, the powerful bass groove makes its presence felt strongly in the second half. In collaboration with Seyah, "The Last Day" is meticulously crafted track that bounces along with club-friendly credentials, textured pads and meandering synth lines. Mesmeric in its construction, intermittent laser-like effects break up the dramatic and hypnotic groove.

An artist of rare repute and impressive credentials, Namito is a renowned figure with his impressive work for the likes of Balance Music, Yoshitoshi and Sol Selectas. Indeed, the Iranian born producer has seen considerable success for Sabo's US imprint with the number one single, "Stone Flower", and its 2.5 million Spotify streams. Making his Proton Music debut, the Namito remix of "Poison" is a typically impressive interpretation with its hypnotic groove and perfectly cadenced keys. Making innovative use of Michael A's original components, a delicate arpeggio trips its way across the near 7-minute piece rising and falling with ease, joined by a delightfully melancholy string passage post breakdown.

A second remix sees Martina Mozzoni and Matias Villafañe make their Proton Music debut via their Alto Astral moniker. Already seeing their music find its way onto such esteemed imprints as 3rd Avenue, Movement Recordings and Balkan Connection, the duo's work for Particles has resulted in a pair of superb remixes for Juan Deminicis and Petar Dundov. Now debuting on Proton Music, the Alto Astral rework of "Fantasy" is a highly accomplished and polished interpretation that glistens and excites with an impeccable dancefloor groove. Building with vocal flourishes, it opens-up in an entirely new direction with a new vocal phrasing added to Michael A's instrumental original. A stunning breakdown adds further loquacious vocal passages as the track drops back into its rhythmic and bass-driven groove in the final stages.

A fourth outing with magical qualities sees Michael A reach new heights through "Fantasy, Vol. 4", ably assisted by remixes from Namito and Alto Astral.

Michael A - Resurgence

Madloch's 3rd Avenue label welcomes back Kebin Van Reeken from Buenos Aires, Argentina with the remix EP of "Euphoria," which was released last year. The title track has been given a remix treatment by Mattim, making his label debut. Hailing from Córdoba, Argentina, Mattim has recently released music on labels like Mango Alley, onedotsixtwo, and Juicebox Music. The second remix for "Euphoria" is by Yahra, who achieved a #1 spot on the Beatport Progressive Charts last year with his track "Lighty" on our label.

The track "Invisible" has been remixed by Brazilian producer Gorkiz, known for his releases on labels such as Toolroom, Clubsonica Records, Balkan Connection, and Stereo Productions. The final remix is delivered by Leandro Murua & ZAHNA, who are also familiar names within the Sound Avenue label group.

Sound Avenue celebrates their milestone 100th release with a new single from label boss Madloch and frequent studio partner Subnode. Founded in 2011 by the Belgian DJ and producer, Sound Avenue has carefully forged a path to multiple musical dimensions. As the label has grown so too has it's ethos, blurring the boundaries between genres, now sitting in the creative space between house and techno. With recent roster additions Charles Webster, Hermanez, Nordfold & Budakid and Stelios Vassiloudis, the label has reached a unique point in its sonic evolution, one which continues on their much anticipated 100th release. Being paired since the summer of 2018, the creative synergy between Madloch & Subnode has continued to grow. Now presenting their most anticipated single to date, the Belgian duo unveil 'Lion's Mane' alongside remixes from Navar and Bookwood. 

Madloch & Subnode's affinity for redolent storyboarding has never been more evident than on 'Lion's Mane'. Backed by a hypno-groove and sultry rhythmic structures, it's a creation that flows through a myriad of free form motifs. Hugely compelling throughout, ghostly vocal fragments and astral effects converge for moments of sonic integrity, while timely synth swells and emerging atmospheres add to its mystical charm. Percussive flurries then come in waves, gently evolving across a foggy, atmospheric backdrop, before further cosmic creativities put a cap on this meditative gem.

The first interpretation of 'Lion's Mane' is provided by Navar who returns to the label for his second appearance. Through releasing material on Guy J's Lost & Found Records and Canadian behemoth microCastle, the Dutch artist emerged in 2014, firmly establishing himself in the world of deep melodic house. His unique approach to composition is highly regarded and continues to be a favourite of the world's largest DJs, including Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Always a creative remixer, Navar expands on the smooth, organic qualities of the original with a near eleven minute sonic spectacle. Possessing more of a dramatic undercurrent, it's bulbous bass tones move through moments of emotional energy, while exotic percussion and freeform harmonics create a compelling canopy of sound. Kaleidoscopic motifs continue to advance the narrative, effortlessly transferring energy into a second act which transcends time and space.

The second and final interpretation of 'Lion's Mane' is provided by Bookwood who makes his label debut here. The German artist has found a home on Magician On Duty, SOSO and URSL, where his unique take on deep house and electronica has flourished. It's this unique fusion which has made him of the deep house scenes most promising talents. Now following a well received remix for Rural Records, Bookwood steps up to Sound Avenue with a heartfelt take on 'Lion's Mane'. The vocal elements work wonders here, utilized perfectly for maximum emotional response, while a gentler, more indistinct backdrop adds mystery and intrigue across the six minute journey. A poignant piano theme sits wonderfully over a trail of soulful motifs, as a perfectly sculpted groove does just enough to command your attention but still resonates on warm and inviting frequency. A stunning interpretation from Bookwood, capping off what is a milestone release for Sound Avenue. A label never content with resting on their laurels, instead choosing to evolve and trail blaze new paths in the electronic underground.
