Dub techno vibrations intertwine with ambient layers and hypnotic rhythms, carrying the listener to a dimension where time seems suspended and emotions flow freely. "Lunae" it's a total immersion into an enveloping and adventurous atmosphere, embracing the depth of the human soul while merging with the immensity of sonic space.

Danza Nativa turns 5 years and decides to celebrate in a big way. After 15 releases that managed to capture the attention of the entire scene, the Buenos Aires label once again celebrates an anniversary with a compilation by several artists. It is also his debut in vinyl format, something that demonstrates the great support of his followers throughout these years. An album that has several exponents around the world, this release is made up of 15 tracks in which you can find deep techno, dub, drone and abstract techno. In addition to the owners of the label (Alderaan, Forest On Stasys & Kyntral), there are also tracks by Anthony Linell, Amandra, Claudio PRC, Daniel[i], Dino Sabatini, Echologist, Luigi Tozzi, Plants Army Revolver, Polygonia, Shoal, Vanoni and Vera Logdanidi.
We invite you to listen carefully and lose yourself in the depth of this album that offers a wide variety of textures, colors and rhythms.

JD- Segment I

The relationship between the visual and auditory creative realms is a close one. Equally as expressive, and open to experimentation, both seem to elevate the other when done tastefully and in combination. It comes to no surprise then, that our premiere for today is from a collaboration between Javier Marimon, and Daniel[i], as JD. A great producer outright, Javier Marimon’s visual contributions range far and wide in our scene, through various label logos, club flyers, album artworks and more, his touch is undeniable, and recognizable. Equally so for his German counterpart on the release, as Daniel[i]'s productions are near and dear to all our hearts.

Continuing a structure of other prior collaborations and releases on Off Tangent, focused around shortened production periods and an emphasis on raw sessions, Javier and Daniel[i]’s time together has coalesced into the seventh release on Javier’s imprint. Titled Segments I and II, the two tracker sits well within the wheelhouse of both artists, shedding light on what is possible from a few meetings and a knack for when something is finished.

Segment II arrives precisely when it means to. Each element unfolds at its own pace, maintaining tension, movement, keeping things interesting however deftly so. Not overt, but subtle. Textures, and off kilter bass lines intermix with muted melodies and cast a shadow over all.

Segments I and II will be released on the 28th of May on Off Tangent Recs.

This year's Nachtdigital record follows the path we started to explore in 2017: To combine artists who are close to us, each given the specific task to tell a story in up to 24 minutes (which is pretty much the maximum you can press on one side of a vinyl record) - with complete artistic freedom. And we are more than happy with the contributions we received:

KANN went for a decidedly collaborative effort, gathering bits and pieces from the label's core artists and glueing them together for one big, cohesive narrative. The result is somewhat experimental but also typically KANN in its sound and character: Intimate and homely but also dancy and energetic.

Johanna Knutsson turned in a long Ambient piece that feels like talking a walk with her through summery fields and meadows. It's Johanna's first proper Ambient release and quite the perfect fit since she will also give her live debut on Nachtdigital's much-loved Ambient stage this year.

Vai follows on side C: He is a longstanding member of the Nachtdigital crew and has been writing and producing the music for our traditional opening performance for many years. One of the most versatile and yet-to-be-discovered producers in our sphere, this elaborative piece hopefully also is just a teaser of what's to come in the future.

Side D belongs to the most odd contribution we got: Poet Manuel Stallbaumer and music "professor" Stefan Schmidt-Dichte (also known as Perm) brought their individual talents to the table and created a remarkable piece of listening pleasure - a weird, baffling fusion of poetry and sound that is definitely worth diving into.

The record comes in form of a double vinyl LP with fancy gatefold cover and artwork by bus.group. As always, the release will first be available at the festival and in a handful of carefully selected record stores thereafter - as well as at the Nachtdigital webshop.
The total playtime of the record is almost 90 minutes so it really is the perfect companion for a nice walk through the park, cooking with friends or taking an evening off on the couch.

NDFLEX - B - JOHANNA KNUTSSON (Preview)

The Parisian artist @Blndr releases an EP with @IntervisionParis label. The six-tracker takes a glimpse on the producer's experiemental side, and it features remixes from Acronym, Bambounou and Paulie Jan. 

Monument premieres Fading Smiles, one of the original tracks of the release. Les Fantômes De La Côte EP is out in digital format on October 15th, and on vinyl on November 9th.
