“Infinito … infinito,” Gabriele Poso whispers over a syncopated conga rhythm in the opening of the Italian multi-instrumentalist’s second single, “Futurista.” A reference to his upcoming album, “Tamburo Infinito” (Italian for “infinite,” or “endless drum”), the word is an apt descriptor for the song - and indeed the album as a whole - as the drum rhythms grow ever more complex, held down with a four-to-the-floor kick, and adventurous bass line. Vocal samples are flung about, whirring through different effects, while Gabriele doubles a steel drum-like synth pad; towards the end of the track, the kick and bass drop out, to reveal a swelling synth chord, like the first vestiges of a sunrise after a late-night dance deep in the jungle.

"Hodo is an exercise in restraint. It is centred around one riff we recorded from Amon’s modular synth, and a really big kickdrum. We tried to use as little further ornamentation as we could, to focus all attention on the core elements. A modular riff, a very dirty kickdrum, some Latin-inspired triplet percussion, and some chords to set the mood in the intro. The title comes from “Jodorowsky’s Dune”, an incredibly inspiring documentary every artist should watch once or more."- Thys

Dengue Dengue Dengue (@Dengue) have an enviable ability to whisk together the traditional and electronic. Their debut LP La Alianza Profana was a stellar example of just that - a cumbia-cum-electronica joyride dip-dyed in all the right amounts of psychedelia and mystique. 2014's follow up project, Serpiente Dorada EP was no less of a trip. And now with July 2015 here, the Peruvian pair are providing a sneak peek at their next move. "Murdah" is four minutes of footwork-paced hysteria that showcases a step up in tempo. Unrelenting drum pounds, a percussive tribal backbone and rapid-fire vocal chops become locked in an aural bull-fight that's both infectious and dancefloor-ready.

Building up a name for himself over a number of years as a proficient and in-demand remixer, Thor’s breakout tune “Gaita Gaita” has been sampled thousands of times by producers all over the world, and has become a certified hit record in South America. A string of remixes and a couple of rare song releases later, Thor’s groundbreaking Things Will Change EP was released via Wonderwheel in 2016 garnering massive buzz and record sales, resulting in a European tour that summer, and a Boiler Room performance in the fall.

Bennu represents a giant leap forward for Thornato, as he showcases his chops in crafting dancefloor gems from the ground up. While the electronic production of the album provides a strong backbone, Thor has carefully selected artists from Jamaica, Ecuador, South Africa, Colombia, Canada and beyond to breathe live energy into each song. From the massive bass driven energetic dancehall vibes of “Rhinoceros” featuring veteran chat master Gappy Ranks, to earth shattering chopped up African dancefloor sounds of “Chagamei” to the contemplative Flamenco influenced deep house sound of “Welwyn”, and moving into the uplifting & soulful dembow vibes of “Tu Luz” featuring Lido Pimentia – Bennu is an album that carefully navigates through the globe while maintaining a cohesive and consistent feel from start to finish.

The record is chock full of ethno-cultural material from Japan to Bulgaria, including field recordings of Tuva, Central Asia throat singers. Shamanic rhythms were introduced to nomadic guitars, combining with compact electronic structures, finally transforming into dance movements of a tribe that no one knew and emerged as 'KAYBOLA'.

An intoxicating mix of experimental electronics punctuated by distinctly Turkish instrumentation.

The first single from Thornato's forthcoming album "Escape Plan", Out Here is a Dembow mashup infused with Brazilian choro melodies and percussion. Thornato teamed up with Brooklyn based Accordion player Joshua Camp who plays with Chicha Libre and One Ring Zero. Thor Partridge is the globally acclaimed producer known as Thornato, who’s perked ears over the years for his seamless fusion of wildly distant sounds and sensitive balance between the contemporary and the traditional. In 2013, he released a track called ‘Gaita Gaita’ via ZZK records, an infectious flute-woven banger (listen to believe it), which became an instant dancefloor hit and has, to this day, been sampled by thousands of producers. His debut album ‘Bennu’ was released in 2017 on Wonderwheel Recordings and received praises from the likes of NPR, Insomniac, Xlr8r, and more, catapulting him onto prestigious stages around the world, from Boiler Room in Mexico City to Fusion Festival in Germany. A self-proclaimed ‘sonic hoarder’, Thornato is obsessed with recording sounds, and does so in a way that’s genuine to their roots. He continues to travel the world finding delicious sounds to put his spin on, and can currently be found working on his next album.
