The Chrono Trigger (Flite Remix)

This is the result of a YouTube live stream where I just played about for a couple of hours orchestrating music from the upcoming Yooka-Laylee. 

I gave it the same treatment as I did for Banjo-Kazooie-Symphony. Bits improvised here and there but it stays quite faithful. It was recreated from ear so excuse any bad notes or improvisations!

bonk's adventure is one of those games that i saw in a video game rental place like 20 years ago and got super hype about, and loved throughout my childhood, and then never heard anything about it ever again.  i'm pretty sure most people that have played this game played it on the turbografx, and had no idea it even existed on the nes.

in any case, i always really enjoyed a couple songs from the soundtrack, this one included.  so, i went ahead and covered one.  yup.  not much to really say about this one, i guess. :p

NPC - File Select (Super Mario 64 Remix)

i had pretty much forgotten the entire existence of The Flintstones: The Rescue of Dino and Hoppy from my childhood; i don't think i've played it in something like 15-20 years.  a youtube channel dedicated to quality vgm rips recently popped up, and reminded me the love i have for the soundtrack, so i figured i'd do it some justice!

this is a pretty straightforward remix of the flintstones theme; not much to really say about it.  i guess it speaks for itself?  i'd say at least listen all the way through once.  it's got a nice little drum and bass vibe, with a few neat variations.  yep.

hey guys!  a new npc remix, because it's monday, obviously!  went with ffxiv, since the new patch came out a few weeks ago.  which, btw, the new patch is spectacular; the new story content is incredible!  i haven't worked towards any of the new raid content.... mainly because raids scare the hell out of me because i'm a little baby... but yeah.

anyway, took the chill little idyllshire day theme and turned it into obnoxious noisy... something.  whatever it is, i hope you enjoy it!

here's toroko's theme, from cave story!  it's a theme that isn't heard very easily in game; you have to be able to beat the game within a ludicrous time, and then the title screen will change to a toroko theme with this music.  anyway, uhh, here's my rendition of it?  i hope you guys enjoy it :D

oh hey, good morning everybody!  it's time for another vgm remix! yep!

not TOO much to say about this one, really.  i just like taking small, simple, straightforward songs and fleshing them out, apparently.  it's dark and sad, so there's that!  i also got to record some weird noise i made using a neat little effects pedal, so, you can hear that abrasive stuff in the background in certain spots.

aaaanyway, i bundled up the past remixes i've done into a new album!  free download on bandcamp, of course.  the link's up there, so, you should be clicking that, and stuff. :D

wave race 64 was one of the first games i had for n64.  strangely enough, i had mario kart and wave race before i had mario kart 64.  not sure why i chose those ahead of a platformer that i was suuuuper excited about, but hey.

i really enjoyed the game, even though i sucked horrendously at it as a kid, but i grew to appreciate how awesome the soundtrack was as i grew into adulthood, and uhh, yep.  this is still one of the catchiest, raddest songs from my childhood.  so, here you go!

mega man has always been a series of games that i've loved! it's also been a series of games i've always sucked at, horribly HORRIBLY sucked at.  mega man battle network was no exception.  it also had a spectacular soundtrack, and the moment i heard final transmission i got chills.  so, aaaages later, here i am covering it.  enjoy!
