Love affair with all things funky since 1982, still going strong, got my 1200s in 1988 and never looked back. Rocking a mixture of digital and original wax now on 1210`s and  my rane one. Musically my horizons have broadened from my bedrock of electro / disco and hip hop and house through soul - funk, techno, cheesy 80`s pop nu disco, If I like It I play it and mix it - simple as that.

My weekly mixes showcase my favourite tunes of this and yester years. All ad hoc which is the way I prefer to mix and are a mixture of original vinyl and digital.

Dion Hunt aka Dastardly Kuts is a veteran dance, hip hop and party style/ open format DJ who is also the driving force behind Brisbane based artist agency Kut Above Entertainment. With a desire to provide the highest quality music, live performances and visual arts in conjunction with only the very best in funked up party vibes, he has made it his mission to provide artist management and a collaborative event support network that is centred around core values of equality, diversity and social enterprise.

As a DJ, Dastardly Kuts has been bringing his mashed up style of funky club flavours to Australia for over eighteen years in a career that has seen him warm up the decks for some of the most respected artists across the dance music spectrum. Having graced the stage at numerous festivals across the East coast including recent performances at Jungle Love, The Streets Beach Bash, Valley Fiesta and Regional Flavours whilst also holding down residencies at top Queensland night spots Solbar, Cloudland, Press Club and The Sound Garden, DKuts shows week in and week out that he’s equally at home entertaining some of the biggest dance floors in the country as he is setting the mood in the intimate surrounds of a small lounge bar.

TrueBeatz is a DJ Crew of 5 members (Rolle, Stinoe, Resoul, Stoned Fingers & Robert Smith). Rolle and Stinoe first got together in 1997. Resoul joined them in 2003, Stoned Fingers 2004 and afterwards Robert Smith became a member. Their music has a wide range of Funk, Soul, Latin, Reggae mixed with Broken Beats, Dubstep, Drum'N Bass and Hip Hop classics. It's served on 3 to 4 turntables.

 DeeJay Random first learnt to scratch at the age of 14 and has been a hip-hop/scratch DJ, professionally, since 1986. His style is un-orthodox, to say the least, and is usually pretty aggressive. He loves to cut breaks and trash funk records, fuck around with strange drum breaks, battle geeks and smash to pieces anyone stupid enough to try and fuck him over. His un-orthodoxness will carnagerize any wishy washy bullshit you may think you have invented.

He has played in several European countries including Sweden, Germany, Holland and Denmark and have played pretty much the cream of the UKs top venues including The Tate modern, The Jazz cafe (Camden), Subterrania, Scala, The Empire ballroom, Turnmills, The Brain club, Fabric, Bracknell football club, the Cellar bar, liscombe house, The William Twigg etc.
As well as playing some of the most prestigious venues in the country, He has supported and played alongside with some of the biggest names in Hip-Hop including Jazzy Jeff, The Jungle Brothers, Supernatural and DJ Noise, DJ Pogo, DJ Biznizz, Cutmaster Swift (The Enforcers), TY, Diversion Tactics, DJ Jazz T, DJ Woody, Prime cuts, Tony vegas, Plus one (The Scratch perverts), Rodney P, The Mixologists, DJ Jazzy Jay, Grand wizzard Theodore, The Original Jazzy Jay DJ, Lootpack, P-Trix, Vinroc, DJ Vadim, Diversion Tactics, J-Zone, Huggy Bear, Al shid, Skinnyman as well as a fuckload more.
He is also one of the resident DJs for "King Of The Beats, alongside DJ Devastate (Demon Boys) and Sparkii Ski (London Posse and M.C. Mello) at the Vibe Bar in Brick lane.
As well as DJing, poncing around in nightclubs and drinking too much, He also does a touch of teaching. Mainly straight DJing but he has also coached several of the current crop of uk turntablists/Scratch DJs with their routines, potential battle sets and general competition mentality.
He has worked at the Academy of contemporary music (Vestax DJ academy, Guildford) as a masterclass lecturer and has worked alongside many council and charity run organisations such as Reading county council, Bracknell council, Lookahead housing, Surrey county council, Urban development, Middlesex county council etc.

In other words, these guys are no strangers to the funk.
