Brian Weitz has been making music as Geologist with Animal Collective for going on two decades.  The egg first cracked in the mid 90's at Baltimore record fairs and long overnight radio shows in New York on WKCR.  Whether making sounds in the practice space or playing records, his bandmates call it the O'Brien System. One Tuesday each month you can go there with him on NTS 2.

Dan is a dear friend and the co-founder of legendary NYC rave crew/record label Sweaty Equity (@sweat-equity), 1/2 of downtempo freak duo Dekalb Works (@dekalbworks), and an accomplished producer in his own right with killer releases on Fixed Rhythms (@fixedrhythms), 1432 R (@1432-r), Lillerne Tape Club (@lillerne), Budget Cuts (@budgetcutsseattle), and Sorry Records (hey, that's me). He's also a rock solid DJ, part of the immortal @thelevelparty crew, and has released mixes via @truants @pipipigroup @rec_ess @inner-smile-mix-series and @cminuss

Besides a loose Lot Radio sometime over the last few years, this was our first time playing together since the WKDU Hot Mix (linked below) we did together in 2021 (time flies!). We had a blast and we hope you do tooooooo.
