With career roots in the hospitality industry as a personal chef & hotel manager, music was a strong force in Hungary-born Norbi Szakács’ life from the time he was a child. He grew up listening primarily to trance then progressive, melodic & deep house and now is also influenced by the breakbeat culture. He always had a keen interest in how to transform one’s thoughts and innermost feelings into a musical form for others to appreciate.

This past year, as many of us sought out new life paths, NorB found the opportunity to explore music production for the first time, for which he discovered an immediate passion. In connecting with established Toronto-based artist & vocalist juSt b, of whom he’s been an avid supporter, the two have come together for an exquisite, dark & brooding collaboration in the form of a debut 3-track EP entitled Different Places, featuring juSt b’s original vocals.

Continuing the musical journey and collaboration with juSt b, NorB reached new milestones in late 2023 with the release of the joint track "At This Moment," remixed by the legendary  Henry Saiz. 
In early 2024, another significant achievement was realized with a track placement on ICONYC Records as part of the "We Are ICONYC" Album.

In the summer of 2023, NorB launched Static Fields, his monthly mix show dedicated to hypnotic and deep techno as its core focus, enriched with elements of progressive and break styles. Known for its distinctive atmosphere and immersive musical journey, Static Fields is now featured on two leading electronic music radio platforms, DI.FM and Afterhours.FM.

These endeavors mark pivotal moments in NorB's evolving career, showcasing their commitment to artistic exploration and collaboration within the electronic music scene.
