Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, @ramirodrisdale began his musical career at the age of 8, playing instruments such as the guitar and piano, among others. Some time later, Ramiro began to enjoy electronic music artists. Names like Hernán Cattaneo, Lee Burridge and Nick Warren were his main influences in this area. Which led to Ramiro starting his career in the world of music production in 2019. Their productions have warm nuances, solid rhythms, organic and synthesized melodies, which transmit a traveling and uplifting atmosphere. His music has been released on labels such as Anjunadeep, All Day I Dream, Sudbeat, and The Soundgarden, among others. In a short time, his songs had the support of renowned artists, such as Lee Burridge, Hernán Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Tony McGuinness, Jimi Jules and more.

An artist with a long, rich and varied history, Chris Cargo has been at the forefront of the underground dance music scene for over 30 years. A career that began in the 1990s has seen the UK star carve out a sizeable niche with his distinctive blend of progressive, deep and melodic house, resulting in over 200 production credits for some of the finest modern imprints and a DJ touring schedule that has seen Chris reach all corners of the globe.

No stranger to working with the biggest event organisers and brands, Chris’ work behind the decks has seen him tour across the continents with a variety of leading global brands as China, as the USA and South America have all played host to his free-flowing and immaculately crafted sets. To that end, it is no surprise to see Chris play to packed clubs and festivals in over 60 countries and a century of cities with his trademark sound – from France to the Netherlands and Germany to Malaysia, Mexico and Sweden, Chris Cargo has continued to enrapture audiences with an innate understanding of what makes a dancefloor coalesce in unified movement.

Contemporaneously, a stellar production career has seen Chris reach even wider audiences as his music appeared on such celebrated compilation series by Renaissance, Global Underground and Carl Cox’s Intec. Regular plays on BBC Radio 1 and appearances in MixMag and DJ Magazine have further served to cement a glowing reputation. Still able to appear in the upper echelons of the Beatport chart on a regular basis, including two HYPE number ones, a plethora of releases over the past 5 years have seen success on Paul Thomas’ renowned UV, Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden and D-Nox & Beckers influential Sprout plus official remixes of classic tracks ‘Stella’ from Jam & Spoon and ‘Western Approaches’ by Pako & Frederik. Moreover, it is with his own If You Wait imprint that Chris Cargo has celebrated almost a half century of credits as he uses the UK label as a vehicle for his own production work, in addition to celebrating myriad established and up and coming artists. Able to use If You Wait to showcase his own original music, March 2022 was a landmark moment as Chris released his 11-track, “Resistance” album to widespread critical acclaim.

This past weekend was full of spectacular atmosphere, courtesy of an uncommonly powerful aurora borealis display, so it’s only fitting that this week’s episode of Moonlight Mixtapes contains some celestial atmosphere of its own—straight from the studio of Ilias Katelanos. 

An organic house mastermind, he’s built a resume from unforgettable tracks on standout labels such as Where the Shadow Ends, Telematique, Melody of the Soul, Flug Lab, and Songuara. This week, he’s centered both moonlight and melody as he takes us through an hour-long celebration of high vibration.

Katelanos begins the mix on an elevated note, layering shades of funk and soulful vocal samples atop a solidly organic beat that goes the distance. Watch out for a decidedly deeper turn at the halfway point, where the gritty bottom end and traces of hypnotic vocals recall those late night witching hours.
