Out with their third EP of 2016, this August Monkey Safari will release 'Boris,' with remixes by Guy Mantzur and Victor Ruiz, showing the world once again that these guys aren't messing around. 'Boris' is the follow up to their successful mega-EP, 'Bernstein,' released in June, with remixes by John Digweed & Nick Muir and UNER. Their next four-track EP shows the brothers' more serious, grownup side, taking new risks with no vocals, utilizing empty spaces and slower buildups. 'Boris' showcases proper club music: dark and sweaty Tech House with a hypnotic twist.
In the first track of the EP, self-titled "Boris," Sven and Lars go even deeper into their trance trajectory bridging on the darker side of Techno. The second track, "Dodge," takes listeners on a mystical journey playing with deep ambient sounds and a drop that makes your heart speed up. Tel Aviv-based producer Guy Mantzur (Kompakt / Bedrock / Diynamic) drops his hypnotic and seductive remix of "Boris," impossible not to get lost in. Additionally, Brazilian producer Victor Ruiz’s up-beat and complex remix of "Dodge" is not to be missed. Monkey Safari's dedication to their craft is catching the attention of industry dignitaries and fans alike with their consistent releases and non-stop international touring. This time we have the pleasure to bring a fantastic three track release by the Craig & Grant Gordon duo called Too Hot EP. The first track, Too Hot, presents a pure tech house base filled up with several fills and an explosive funky bass line that can shake the bones out of everyone in the dance floor with ease. It's a great piece that can lift the mood with its toons of articulations and different texturized fxs and sounds. The second one, Their Jungle, haves a substantial amount of percussion layers that complement to each other perfectly while they construct and fantastic groove driven by powerful low-end. The third one, Hit Squad, shows a bit different and raw approach while still haves a strong and solid tech base, but this time they created a great ambience in the backend playing around with several crazy synths and slight distortions that do create a cloudy and strong vibe at the same time.

October 13th 2017 sees the esteemed German Techno DJ/producer Oliver Huntemann find himself on the cusp of yet a new era in his career with the release of his fifth album entitled, ‘Propaganda’.

'Propaganda' is Huntemann’s fifth long-player, and like each of its predecessors, it shows a different side to one of the most consistently rewarding names in Techno. Huntemann explains, “The sound of Propaganda is more grown up, I’ve left the times of reducing to the max behind to create a certain atmosphere throughout the whole album. Of course most tracks work well on the dancefloor but the task was also to make them as interesting as possible for listening sessions - simply to reach another level.”

Released on his own Senso Sounds label, the album exudes the level of assurance that perhaps only comes with being so active in curating and developing a label that has stood out from the masses since its inception in 2014.

'Propaganda' opens with 'Taktik', and the mood is quickly established through crisp motorik drum programming and deep, pulsing bass lines. 'Poltergeist' - the 2nd cut, continues this aesthetic - a deep and spacious groover.

Clocking in at over 1 hour 15 minutes, the 12-tracker allows a lot of space for itself, each tracking having the time it needs to develop and unfold. 'Egoist' ramps up the feel somewhat with intricate melodies and effects, before breaking down into something that will destroy many dance floors. Yet the beauty of the album format is that it allows for various mood changes, and 'Malaria' brings us something of a shift into a more freaked out and edgy vibe, while 'Anonym' highlights Huntemann’s mastery of atmosphere, serving as an ambient / downbeat interlude. 'Rotlicht' is perhaps a standout for fans of Huntemann’s epic DJ sets, exhibiting all the control and release dynamic that make him such an engaging performer. It’s also clearly a key cornerstone for the entire album.

Next up is 'Absurd', followed by 'Manipulation' - both reference the exquisite sound design Huntemann instils into his precision-built tracks, while remaining primed for club use at all times. 'Momentum' switches up the tempo, perhaps influenced by more experimental, no wave and krautrock sources - and serving as punctuation before the album's final triptych. 'Vertigo' sees shimmering arpeggiated synths skip across a solid rhythm track, while 'Doppelgänger' builds a delicious tension through constant pads and pulsing, blocky bass tones. 'Trick17' ultimately rounds off 'Propaganda', - an expanse of emotionally charged techno with Huntemann’s signature feel woven into its fabric.

Fabian Kempe's productions under the name of Korridor have consistently presented a foreboding and striking assembly. Previous appearances on Northern Electronics have taken in stuttering percussive works as well as tense minimalist designs. His debut album 'End of Cycle' applies a breadth of expression to a wide palette of mesmerizing and intense fit-outs that corrode and fortify in equal measure.

'End of Cycle' is born of a deeply personal set of experiences to have marked Kempe's life. Shortcomings and tribulations that have prompted spirals back to starting places and beginnings have informed the mood and missive that his debut album seeks to portray. Taking in themes that stretch from despondency to paranoid elation, Kempe has developed an architecture that lets austerity scream. Stark and synthetic ambient plains lead us out of conditions for communal experience, yet it's these passages that enable the sharp and brooding dancefloor works to deliver the barbed disturbances that they transport.
