His debut release, Nizogcwala was joyfully scatted with rabble-rousing rap influences, deeper than deep house and and strikingly potent Zulu vocals. With an ear quite clearly keenly attuned to seeking out joyfully juxtaposed sounds, when Muzi suggested he make us a mix, we immediately took him up on his kind offer. "I had to pull out all the stops on this one so thought it would be super cool to drop some Muzi exclusives on an i-D exclusive mix and play some of my favourite tracks from my favourite producers," says Muzi live and direct from KwaZulu Natal.
