Angel-Ho the Musician and Creative Director have created a third album titled ‘A Time To Die’. The album is an entendre for the depression of covid-19 not being able to perform and living in survival as an artist while the other meaning to the artist is making the moment a celebration as 
a time to gag at their abstract take on Club & Pop music. Having created Death Becomes Her in 2019, a more political statement using their vocals as a means in her quest to dislodge gender binaries and power hierarchies, Angel-Ho challenges this even further to make disruption in the perceptions of doubt on their artistry. 
Angel-Ho puts in what they enjoy most listening to bird sounds and is inspired by their pitch change as an influence by nature, in hopes of making peace in her music and mind. She has pushed herself into unfamiliar territory distorting the genres to find resolution in music production. Having taken a year to collaborate with producers she found herself trading her authenticity and feeling somewhat far removed from the body of the music, to simply lay vocals over a beat was not enough for her direction. As an introduction to their forthcoming “Novox 10” anthology, Skyshaker shares their thoughts on the current state of ballroom alongside two members of the international community. With the blessing of fellow SVBKVLT stalwart Hyph11E, her cavernous “Escapism” track serves as the backdrop of a startling confrontation between three international members of the queer ballroom community.

Mexico’s Lenchanter Medussa infiltrates the next evolution of “Escapism” with a disembodied Spanish-language taunt that literally reaches critical mass. Skyshaker’s “Vemanei Transmission 072720” is a sobering moral reckoning with unspoken violence and power dynamics underneath the glamour and theatricality often associated with the young queer subculture. Tokyo’s Chris Eclipse closes the release with a classic New York chant with an African prince-inspired music video to match.

In Sky’s own words, “Ballroom is at yet another crossroads in which they have to decide how much to embrace the corporate America that now smells money on them. Not everyone is okay with the way they are being observed, not everyone is okay with that scent.”

Our seventh addition to the NHS catalog comes in the form of a collaborative EP with Siete Catorce and Amazondotcom, two artists that share a refined, eclectic approach to the sonics of electronic music. Both artists reigning from Mexico/Oakland & Los Angeles respectively, Siete Catorce & Amazondotcom come together with two very different cultural experiences of music, intertwining these two worlds together intimately and carefully. 

Taking an alternate approach to the contemporary club scene, with the steady rise of very particular styles and subcultures, the two artists take a moment to re-evaluate the way in which they present their collaborative sound – amorphous and evolving, eclectic and standalone from many other current trends. Teardropz is in many ways a sliver of counter culture.

Salviatek introduces "Asfixia", second single from its sixth release, Privacidad, from Bolivian producer Funeral.

"Asfixia" is an intense moment captured as a track. "Asfixia" is all about contrasts.

The contrast between this relaxing calm found in silence and the suffocating moments of rising tension, the contrast between soft human textures and harsh machine sounds. 

"Asfixia" uses contrast not as a divisory line but as a complementary value in duality.

Contrary to what it may seem "Asfixia" is not about aggression or violence. Its all about care and dedication expressed in each detail, the metallic and organic hits interacting, the precise cuts, everything carefully placed to achieve a climax through an almost disciplined sonic construction.

How does danger feels like inside a safe space?

Sonically speaking the track uses the human breath as a starting point and crosses it with frequencies our brains associate with danger in order to construct a bigger narrative about an intense moment where duality.
